World NO 1 & 2 square off this Saturday with Ireland hosting the might All Blacks, our 7pm kick off, rounding off a full afternoon of rugby fixtures. Wales look to maintain their winning run, with a 2.30 kick off with Tonga. And Scotland, after a huge win last week, face South Africa, who are still yet to show the full potential that we expect from the proud rugby nation!! All games shown live in the bar, so get in early to get your seat!!

Just finished marking this weeks CAREW INN RUGBY COMP sheets.....and I can honestly say, our Autumn Internationals Competition is more exciting than the competition on the pitch!!! (Or at least as exciting). Some incredible changes to the table, with the lowest total going to last weeks top points scorer, and top points this week going to the previous bottom of the table recipient. So here it is...….Joint first this week, Huw Day, and Neil H. Both scoring maximum points for s...ix wins from six (30), and four correct bonuses, one of which was spot on for an extra point (9). Huw mores up the table from 18th to 9th, while Neil is holding firm in second position on 65 points. Special mention must go to both Dick Mathias, and Emma Edmonds with an equally impressive 38 points. Dick moves into top spots with 67 points, and Emma into third on 62!! The table has been updated and is available for you to view in the bar. I further 6 games next Saturday, so don't forget to make your picks before kick-off. I've talked about one of our big movers this week, but by far the biggest mover from round one belongs to Keith & Family, who slip from 1st to 16th!! But we may yet have the TMO take a closer look at that, and there's a good chance that this may yet be OVERTURNED. Hope you're enjoying the rugby as much as I am.... GOOD LUCK!!

The Carew Inn Rugby Comp is in full swing, with round 1 now completed. The early front runner, and winner of the first rounds points, Keith & Family, with a perfect 5 from 5, as well as three score bonuses finishing on an impressive 31 points from a possible 35!!! Joint second, on 29 points, Chrissy and Dick Mathias, with Rob, 27 points rounding off the top four. The results sheet is up , so pop in and check out how you've done..... don't bother asking me, as my mare 18, means I'm propping up the bottom of the table , currently 15th of 18!! Good luck for the next round. Games start early Sat afternoon, so ensure your picks are in by then!!

We are open all day, we have our famous and fabulous Sunday Lunch AND a BarBQ on the front terrace so you can watch the athletes on the bike leg. Bar open all day. A great place to cheer on the amazing athletes of IRONMAN Wales. Access via A4075 from Carew roundabout and park in the Castle Car Park.

Let the Bank Holiday weekend begin early this evening at The Inn. Tonight's live music is provided by great local musician Kris Saunders, this is one not to miss for all Ed Sheeran fans !!
BBQ is provided as usual starting from 530pm with the usual steaks, fish and burgers all available.

We stopped in for lunch and didn't want anything too heavy for lunch so we both ordered a baguette. All I can say is 'WOW' . So delish and now we're both stuffed. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended !!

We celebrated my husband's 91st Birthday here yesterday with five friend's. Great pub, fabulous food, good service and very welcoming owner's/staff. Not one complaint from anyone.

Walked in before going to the castle and were lucky enough to get a table,although would strongly advise booking as they were super busy and turned people away. (Was just two of us) Speedy service and really tasty food :) super reasonably priced and friendly staff I'd strongly recommend :)

The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly i will definitely come here again. I would highly recommend to friends and family

Proper little gem of a pub. Loads of character. Good selection of ales. Our family ate there and all enjoyed. Very generous portions. A real institution.

Called on the hop after a visit to Carew Castle. Was pleasantly surprised to receive such good service and freshly cooked food, cooked to perfection. The sea bass with Salsa Verde is the best I've ever tasted .

Booked for Saturday afternoon,4 adults and 3 grandchildren.Service first class and food excellent,nice and warm and would strongly recommend.Hannah who seemed to be running the show was very efficient and pleasant.

Booked a table for an early mother's day meal tonight, credit where credit's due, from start to finish it was simply outstanding. Quick drinks service, food was fantastic and out on the table within 15 minutes. Only negative was we couldn't manage dessert! Many thanks The Evans Family.
