Cariad Babywearing

***ANNOUNCEMENT***
When I first started the Sling meets here in Aberystwyth, over 4 years ago, I wanted to make Babywearing as accessible as possible, to as many people as possible. I've watched my little gathering of friends, and my modest collection of baby carriers grow into something amazing. I have been able to help nearly 500 families carry their little ones safely and comfortably in this time.
... The Library element of Cariad Babywearing was absorbed into Mid Wales Slings over a year ago, and since then we have expanded to have busy meets in 5 different towns, with 4 different consultants, and 10 Peer supporters and many more volunteers.
The time has come, however, for me to take a step back. Mid Wales Slings will carry on running as usual, with the exception of the Borth Sling Meet, which will be relocated to Aberaeron area (details to follow at a later date).
Cariad Babywearing Consultancy, however, will cease to exist. This void will be filled by the other local consultants, Anna at Heart to Heart Babywearing and Laura at Carried by Love Babywearing as well as our trainee Consultant, Cathryn. All 3 started their Babywearing journeys by coming to the meet, volunteering, training as Peer Supporters, and then qualifying as Consultants themselves. Being able to pass my work on to them makes me extremely proud and grateful for all the help, work and dedication that they have put in over the last 4 years.
Id like to add a final, huge thank you to everyone that has every come to a meet, hired a carrier, booked a consultation, or chatted to me online. Babywearing has brought me so much joy, and forged some lasting friendships.
Next month's Aberystwyth Sling Meet will be my last one as a consultant. We'll be there as normal, from 11:00 - 14:00 in the Merched y Wawr hall, Vulcan Street in Aberystwyth.
Please come along and make my final meet great. And thank you for all the support over the last 4 years.

As well as being a Carrying Consultant, I'm a Coastguard Rescue Officer, and seeing two things that I am so passionate about, come together in this way makes me immensely proud of both the Search and rescue Community and the Babywearing Community.
