With the weather forecast showing the hottest Easter in 70 years you will be pleased to know we will be open on Easter Monday from 1pm 5pm for food and drink. We look forward to sharing this special bank holiday with you.

Our Gin charity music nights are back with a bang as we proudly announce a Gin and Rock n Roll night with Jack Raymond Garrett in aid of Barry Ladies Circle on Sunday 21st of April doors open at 7,30pm.
This is a ticket only event and tickets are priced at £10 with complimentary Gin on arrival and a selection of Welsh cheese at the interval. We will be holding a raffle on the night and all donations will go to the amazing local cause of Barry Ladies Circle .

Today is the first day of tapas on the terrace. The weather is warm and the views are stunning, join us from 1pm for Sunday lunch or tapas in the terrace. So many amazing memories from last year all come flooding back sun, food, friends and gin. X

Well, that was the week that was six nations success and the Welsh nation and small pieces of coal all over the world nursing a well-earned hangover. This week we are looking to celebrate the success of the Welsh team with some amazing specials. We are offering on our very Welsh menu, Welsh Steak and Venison, with Cardiff larger from Crafty Devil accompanied by Barti Ddu rum from Pembrokeshire and finally Caerphilly Benjamin Halls strawberry gin. Do you fancy joining us this weekend Tonight (Friday) we have one or two spaces, We are fully booked tomorrow night, but if you would like to come and watch the full day of rugby with us we will be opening at 12,30 and showing all the games. We will need the tables back at the final whistle of the England game for the evening service but there will be room for you to stay and carry on hopefully celebrating. If you are elsewhere but dont want to cook on Sunday then we have spaces for our Sunday service with a very special Lunch on a stone for just £10,95 not to be missed.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Steak hot stone and lamb hot stone washed down with Red wine and Gin cocktails. Very pleasant helpful staff. All in all a very pleasing experience. Thank you.

WOW what a gem, amazing tapas, and the steaks and in particular the fillets. The food was plentiful and delicious and the concept superb. Denise and Julian couldnt be better hosts and their team are also so warm and welcoming. The Guinness served as it should be nice and chilled and the Gingria is a must, refreshing and tasty. The atmosphere is great we cant wait to return. Thank You Team Cariad :)

Visited the cariad as a group of ten and had a great night the food was perfect and all the staff welcoming and on the ball to serve you so thanks all we will be back x

Visited here with friends last Thursday evening. Went for Prawns Pil Pil for starter and fillet steak on stone. The food was fantastic and great value too. Service was polite, friendly and prompt. Well done everyone, we will be back

Tried the steak, the tapas, the Sunday lunch and the jazz and gin night. Lovely food, gorgeous venue, perfect hosts, excellent staff and the gin is good 😀👌🏼 Can’t fault this place, if you haven’t been you’re missing out

Took my mam for and early mothers day treat yesterday and we weren't disappointed!! � food and staff were amazing, we had the tapas lunch deal and the quality was outstanding. The only issue is that we were spoilt for choice on choosing 3 each!! Value for money was perfect for delicious food, we will be back. Thank you �

Nice to see a local restaurant doing so well, the food, wine and staff were amazing! great night out and with this heat wave its like being in Spain!

Me and my husband visited Cariad for the first time on Saturday. We had a little but of tapas (the calamari was scrumptious) and we had the steak, we thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband was dubious of cooking his own steak but was won round by the taste! My only negative was that the chips were a bit under done.

The service was great, the staff couldn't hace been more helpful and the cocktails were lush.

We will be back!

Love this place..it’s become mine and Robs new local..find ourselves in here on a weekly basis..beautiful food, great drinks, friendly staff and lovely owners...couldn’t of asked for a better place on our doorstep..thanks guys x

Last minute date night led us to this little gem. Absolutely stunning food and fantastic service. We tried a few of the 60 different gins they have on offer, all were beautiful. Highly recommend! Can't wait to visit again �

Just what Barry needs!

Visited here for my mums birthday Wednesday evening, just a short stroll down the hill. We had a cracking table over looking the water, barry eye was all light up and the place was buzzing.

We all had steak which comes on your own hot stove so you can cook to your liking. Not only that it stays hot! No cold meat half way through your dinner.

It was a touch of class and the complimentary fish bowl Birthday Gin was a big hit.

The only slight negative (sorry guys) was ordering at the bar..I can do that next door.

Apart from that it didn’t take away the fact that we would defiantly come again and I would highly recommend it.

I visited cariad last night for the first time for my birthday with family and friends and will definitely be returning. Absolutely gorgeous food lovely atmosphere, brilliant staff. Complementary birthday gin went down a treat also. Was good that we were able to order and pay at the bar so there was no fuss over who owed what at the end of the night. Can't wait to book in again thank you again.

I had a fabulous evening here as part of a large group of friends. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, the choice of drinks at the bar is fab and the food is delicious . I will definitely return again. Thank you to all the staff at Cariad.

Had our first evening meal at Cariad on Wednesday to celebrate my birthday. We were a party of 10 and received first class service and first class food. Thank you Julian, Denise and staff for making my birthday one to remember x

Had an amazing time here last night. It was my hen and the (I assume) owner went out of his way to make it a special night. The gins and cocktails were fabulous. Food was great with awesome service. Only thing I would love to see is a gin and/or cocktail menu as I felt I was taking up too much time asking about all the different options, and the bar was busy! Thanks for helping us have a fab night will deffo be back with my hubby! Xx

Great food! The hot plate service is a great idea, veg was cooked perfectly and the meat is divine! Went for dinner Saturday night, liked it so much we went back and had Sunday lunch here! Quality of the food is unbeatable. Wine was good, Guinness on tap. See you soon!!!

Came last night for a friends birthday . Firstly the place is so stylish . Sat in the window in this lovely weather with a candy floss gin. Stunning . The fillet steak was just perfect , infact the best steak I’ve ever had . Loved the way you cook it on hot stone , great experience. Highly recommend it . Already planning our next trip . Libby the waitress was excellent too xx

As far as I’m aware, 1 of the only places to sell Birra Moretti on tap.. Why wouldn’t you come here? Lovely tapas to go with it as well.
