Whether your popping in to the cafe for a coffee or a bite to eat or going to the Bistro night you won't be disappointed. Food is delicious and the staff are always friendly. Always makes me smile when when someone suggest the Cariad for food.

Went to the Bistro evening last night. The food and service were amazing. Give it a go if you get chance. Can't wait for the next one.

Well worth the drive over from llanelli. The choice and quality of the breakfasts are great. Normally too full to eat the great cakes so we take a slice home for later.

We stopped off here today for a light lunch and some coffee during our day out on the Gower. The food is good and affordable, the coffee is good, and the service is excellent. Will definitely be popping in again when we are in the area.

Took the car to be cleaned at the new Penclawdd industrial estate car wash. He's good and deserves support. Walked back to Cariad for breakfast while car was being cleaned. Walked back to a washed and vacuumed car, all for under £20 including breakfast! Can't go wrong. Cariad never fails to delight. I love this place. I consider it my second home! :-)

My friend and I had a girly catch up on Saturday . I had the chicken burger and she had the beef burger. Both were amazing and I can recommend their home made coleslaw which also was amazing. We had to try their chocolate cake and of course the chilled wine complemented it perfectly. Excellent value for money, good portion size and staff lovely and attentive. Will definitely be calling in again !

Locally sourced food at great local prices, served by lovely people in a tiny cafe right by the sea front. The lamb burger special was home made from local salt Marsh lamb. The main ingredient is that local you can virtually watch them from the windows! Ham and eggs sounds common enough. But again the pig is reared locally and the ham is cooked on the premises.

If your looking for great home made food this is the place . Located with free parking and a park for the kids for after food. Defiantly be visiting again. Lovely cakes to!

Another visit with my mum. Mum suffers with Alzheimer's so my siblings and I use the cafe to make sure she has regular meals. There's always a good selection to choose from and we've never been let down. Yesterday it was the popular Cod and Salmon fishcakes (sweet chilli sauce) with salad and a few chips (check the Specials Board). Mum followed it up with a stonehenge sized slab of coffee and walnut cake. We left as ever appetites fully satiated!

I'm so happy I found myself with time to kill on Saturday and decided to try Cariad Cafe for lunch. I ordered potato skins (actual potato halves not just skins) that came with salad and garlic bread. The salad was couscous, mixed leaves and coleslaw, wonderful flavours, the garlic bread melted in your mouth. It was spotlessly clean in there, the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. I couldn't fault it and I'm very fussy! I sincerely hope this little gem goes from strength to strength and that I can go back again.

A very nice clean and well presented cafe with a great menu and superb staff. Had 1 of the beat breakfasts I have ever had. And will be back to try the bistro eavning :)

Very nice but prices have gone up from when it was J J's, I think it is to cover all work that has been done, It would be nice to have the Sunday dinners back as the elderly loved them as so did my family, so I hope you keep the price low like before and the quality the same please remember that the elderly and the community live in Penclawdd all year and those are the people you should keep not the ones visiting but overall a very clean friendly local cafe, We'll Done
