Castell Dinas Bran

An energetic walk to the castle is a small price to pay for the views. Leave the car in Llangollen carpark, you can see it from the castle. True, this is a ruin but it is a great place for a picnic

Excellent views, worth the fairly strenuous walk if you are reasonably fit.

A impressive ruin on top of a hill with amazing views all round. It is a must for any photographers.

Loved the walk to the top. Small amount of info about the historic sight at the top. Poorly signposted and small amount of parking on the roadside.

I parked at the bottom of the lane leading to the walk up to Llangollen castle... when I saw the trek up there I nearly turned back.. but I did it,and I'm glad I did.. a superb view over the whole area.. and you see the aqueduct in the distance.. well worth the climb up there..

A great little walk from Llangollen (about 30 minutes each way) with stunning views from the top!

Did the Llangollen History Trail which is approx 6 miles/10 km long. The view from the top is stunning and worth the effort. If you look in the mid distance you can see Pontcysyllte aqueduct which is worth a visit too.
