Good pub, staff, food is top notch. Very accommodating.

I'm Canadian, and while I was missing Canadian Thanksgiving back home, I had the pleasure of going to Castle green for Sunday Roast. A true home cooked meal, amazing selection, and of course everything was abosltely delicious! 10/10 would go again. I definitely recommend dining here!

Don't be put off by the exterior, there's a warm family welcome inside. Went on a carvery night. Excellent food, service and very friendly family run restaurant and pub. Very reasonably priced too.

Lovely place for family,couple or birthday party.Friendly and helpful staff.Amazing homemade food!!! Sunday lunch is delicious really big and great price.I was twice here now, first on nephew christening and now with my family form Germany.And definitely will be back again. Highly recommended 😀

Please take a look at the attached photo of this pub... not in the most welcoming place or indeed owning the most welcoming exterior, I'll be honest.

But inside the staff were friendly and the beer cold (and cheap!) and so you can't argue with that. Sparse pool room attached that visually seems more at home at a college frat house than a public bar but don't let all of that bother you. In a world of snobby gastropubs it's sometimes nice to relax in an inexpensive traditional welsh pub.
