Castle Grounds

We got really luck with the weather on the day we visited. It's lovely under the sunshine. Really nice spot for a picnic, but plenty of benches to sit as well. The ruins are well preserved.

Nothing like a bracing walk along the front in the wind after a long day in the car! Thankfully it was a clear day so the views were pretty impressive.

This place has a stunning view to the Cardigan bay. It is easy to access, with free entrance. From the Castle Grounds, you can walk around the coastal trail to explore the beautiful view of mountains and ocean in Aberystwyth. Strongly recomended.

Great, big place full of remainders of the old castle. There is a playground for the really young kids but if you trust them enough, they can have a great time climbing on and off the castle walls. (or what's left of them) there's a free restroom which is great and theres a pretty nice view of the sea and the boulevard.

Lovely castle ruins with rather incongruous modern stone circle inside. It's free and well worth bringing your kids to see.

Great place to bring kids on a sunny evening. It has a large playground and beautiful green grass. Also the rock walls of the castle ruin can spark the imagination of both adults and kids.

Nice set of ruins and breath taking view from the grounds, situated closed to the town and all its shops, food and drink areas and the beach. Recommended for the views, great for all ages.

Nicely preserved parts of the castle with cool illumination at night. Large picnic and play areas for families with children or groups of students looking for a nice spot to chill out.

Great place to walk around. Lots if pokemon to catch. Be prepared if it is windy as it is quite exposed
