Cat Protection Bridgend Adoption Centre

What a fantastic centre! We have just adoped a cat, and the whole processes was fantastic. I was pretty hearbroken when our 17yr old cat died at the start of the year, and not sure if I was ready for another cat or not. So firstly, the centre staff understood that and were happy for us to have a few visits to see what it was all about. Then, once we knew we wanted to go ahead, the staff were all really helpful as we made our choice. Picking him up this week was such a fun experience. All the staff are so invested in these animals getting a great home and made a huge fuss of him on his 'going home day'. And now, little Bolt has settled in and totally taken over our house! Really glad we made the decision to rehome a cat and a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone at the centre for taking such good care of our cat before he came to us.

We adopted the lovely Honey about two weeks ago. We might have passed her by as she was shy and hiding away but one of the staff encouraged us to meet her and it was instant love. She can be a bit nervous but she’s already come on leaps and bounds since we took her home and she is becoming more comfortable every day. The staff are so helpful and friendly. They listened to our concerns and gave some great advice. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We adopted little hulk 8 years ago. They are very thorough (quite rightly) and check our the abode before saying yes to the adoption. My boy is nearly 10 now (2 when adopted) and has definately mellowed in his years. Always been a softie for me, but in the past year has become cwtchy for my husband. He even tolerates my daughter despite having huge anxiety about children (god knows what happened to him bdofre). Highly recommend the place. They really love and care for the cats.

We adopted a beautiful ginger cat from Bridgend, we did not see him for 4weeks as he went and hid in my kitchen and only came out at night.

Now he follows me every where. When I come home he meets me at the door and will not stop meowing until I pick him up and make a fuss of him.

I cannot thank Cats Protection enough for my lovely little man.

We adopted Smartie today after visiting yesterday (he is settling in already with head rubs and being determined to sit on my husbands lap when we are in the room with him).



To see how hard the staff there all work at giving these cats the love they deserve was lovely to see. They are happy to give you support at finding the right fit with your family and circumstances. Happy to help with a full range of advice and happy to support you going forward.

We adopted Hazel yesterday. All the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable both on initial visit and adoption day. Just a shame we could not take all the cats home.

We adopted April today. And what a beautiful cat!! Amazing experience all staff were polite and knowledgeable and only gave us a cat that was suitable for our busy family. Thank you

Very caring and cats loving members of the staff. They give their hearts to those furry babies. They check if cats go to safe houses, they're very helpful, answering emails if you have any questions.

Took my Mum last weekend to get a new fur baby after hers went over over the rainbow bridge, we found a Diva called Marmite who has been with her for a week and is so at home and loved to bits. I wish we could take them all home. The staff and volunteers are superb and give so much. Thank you x

These guys do an incredible job. We have our new addition from them. They sorted him out and made him healthy ready for him to come home with us.

Picked up Tess, the latest addition to our family today. The staff are wonderful. They really care for the cats - and their new owners! Can’t praise them highly enough.

Oh a massive thank you ...I received a post today from the previous owners of popcorn and pudding awww and photos of them as kittens etc ...I am over the moon ..and I can immagine the Hart break it was for the family to part with them ..oh bless ..but giving them to your care has been a gift to us .. yep we love them ..sooo a massive thanks ..xxxxxxx

Myself and my family have adopted a few cats from the centre over the years. Brilliant centre and staff. X

My partner and I, adopted little Jagger (now Senna) last Wednesday and we were due to pick him up on Sunday but had to wait a couple more days as he was poorly. The staff there are amazing! Went above and beyond to meet our needs and made us feel really relaxed during the whole adoption process. He came home with medication which he's taken every day so far and is a totally different kitten to the shy one we saw at the adoption centre. He's such a little character, very playful and is bright in himself. We both adore him so much!

My partner and I adopted our first pet together from cats protection and is honestly the best decision we've made!! We knew we wanted an older cat so adopted our Thomas at 8 years old. Not that you'd be able to tell the way he runs about the house chasing his feather toys! He is now our shadow and follows us everywhere and is nearly always on one of our laps, (even though i'm his favorite)!!

I picked up my little clover from here back at the start of the year. She was very nervous from her previous place but after 4-6 weeks of her living behind the fridge and under the sink she now gets very grumpy unless she can spend all of her time on my lap or in my arms! I now have a lovely little life companion, who is very accepting of the heavy petting of the little one too :)

I can't recommend this place enough. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. The cats are all well looked after. We have come home with two lovely cats which my children love. Thank you for letting us adopt Phoebe and Chandler they have really settled in and are so loving.
