Caws Cenarth Cheese

Great place! We had the full tasting experience and story of how the farm developed into cheese making! Recommended visit!

Caws Cenarth is a farm based cheese producer. It has a shop attached a viewing gallery. The Caws Cenarth Perl Las (blue cheese)and creamy Caerphilly are an absolute delight.

Don't be put off by the roads to reach this fab little factory, it's well worth the effort! Fascinating exhibition, and if you time it right you can see the cheese making in the factory too. Enjoy the cheese tasting and opportunity to buy from their fab range of cheeses.

Factory 'tour' is limited and if there is not a lot happening in the cheese making process when you visit it can be disappointing. However, go to the shop and buy the cheese, it is tremendous.

Cheese lovers paradise. Beautifully presented, educational and an opportunity to taste many varieties in the shop. There you indulge yourself after deciding which you enjoy the most.

We saw the sign for Caws Cenarth Cheese on the road while driving through Wales last week and stopped there. After the slow approach that included waiting for about 50 head of beautiful milk cows to cross the road, we arrived at Caws Cenarth's large, clean and impressive facility. Nobody was in the shop, but Michael came out and helped us sample and choose 4 cheeses and some chutneys to take with us. That night, in our hotel restaurant we were able to have the blue cheese on a salad and worked through the "strong" cheese the next day. Really tasty and I would recommend this place and their cheeses highly. We did see them in small stores over the next days as we traveled around South Wales, so you may find it near you.

Really nice, award winning cheese from Cenarth. There is a great selection of original cheeses and there are jams and chutneys for sale too. The service is friendly and polite. If you want a present to take back to your friends from your holiday in Wales, this would be a great place to get it from.

Absolutely fabulous place! Visited while on holiday with 11 of my family, we were spoilt with wonderful hospitality and our very own private cheese tasting session! Our server was so friendly and knowledgeable, the variety and tastes of the cheese were amazing... no wonder they are award winning - so worth the trip!

Very friendly family run business, and the cheese is simply the best ive ever tasted. .great experience if you can visit in person. and I always visit the shop when I see relatives nearby.
