What an amazing place to visit. Such tranquility - you can make it as peaceful or a fun-packed as you want.

It's obvious that CAT are constantly upgrading and bringing in new exhibits, so much to see and do. (I would like to see how much (watts) it is to charge new technologies- mobile phones, iPads etc as they tell you about lights and electric showers and all)

We were there 5 hours and didn't see everything, so will be coming back.

There were amazing craft activities for the children to do, that were themed with the time of year and un-themed (sustainable/up cycled crafts) too.

Plus we got to make a full size witches broom which was used as we walked the paths to sweep leaves

The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable and so good with my 5 and 3 year old. One young man spent ages demonstrating, talking and allowing both to shave wood, and work in the lathe. It made their day.

Food is amazing in the restaurant. Vegetarian food though, but well worth the money and huge portions at that. All prepared on site, and the bread to die for. (I want the recipe for the bread it was that good)

What a brilliant day out with the kids. All of the staff and volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable and the place was beautiful as well as low carbon!

We saw the centre at it's best today. The vegetable plots are flourishing and looking very colourful. The meal we had in the cafe was bursting with flavour and really tasty. There is so much to see and at the same time it is a very peaceful place.

We had a wonderful afternoon with our one year old here today! I havnt been since I was young myself so was keen to go back. Love how interactive the displays are my daughter liked this too. There is also a lot of work going on with new things in the process of being added!

The restaurant was great. Don't judge a book by its cover the food was amazing! I had the enchiladas with a loaded plate of various salad! Scrumptious! The staff are all really nice and it's such a calming place to be X x

The setting is lovely - a peaceful haven in a mad world - with gardens to admire and so much to learn about protecting our environment. Good for all ages and great food in the cafe, as well as walks and views. I recommend an annual visit, at least, to restore your faith in nature and what we an do to maintain it - and the gift shop's great for buying presents in advance of Christmas, and for useful energy-saving items.

On a sunny day this place is like a utopia. My little boy loves the playground and the staff are all very friendly and willing to chat about their projects. The food is lovely and the architecture is impressive.

My daughter, fiancé and I adored visiting this amazing place. I have been several times as a child but on their first visit they fell in love with CAT, just as I did. It's a fantastic source of information, set in the most amazing location and full of friendly people, yummy food and fun activities. Can't wait to go back!

It’s brilliant. It makes you think about the way you live your life. Also the restaurant is very good. Vegan Desserts are absolutely stunning.

Inspiring place with a huge amount of engaging exhibits and environments. Great for families too with lots of "hands on" and creative activities throughout the school holidays. The food is great just make sure you catch the cafe early...because it goes quickly!!!

I visited CAT some years ago. They have been at the forefront of Sustainability since Moses was a little boy! Wonderful place, excellent people, astonishing universe of learning to be had... my kids loved it! Take yours, and start to live sustainably, for them, for your grandchildren, for the Planet!

I really loved going here years ago with my best friend and her children, it was truly awe inspiring. We were all fascinated and really needed to spend a day or two there not just a few hours. Everyone should visit this wonderful place and gather the inspiration to follow the wonderful things they are doing here:~)

I live locally now and have visited with a home education group, it's a wonderful place and a great learning environment for kids. Cafe was closed when we went but I've heard great things about the food, locals go up there for lunch :-) Probably better to visit on a dry day if you have the choice as you'll definitely get the most out of it.

An amazing place for all ages. Fun and educational. So much to see and do. Make sure you wear comfy footwear for the walks and steps. Scenery is amazing and such friendly and informative staff.

Great food in the restaurant. All vegetarian foods, fantastically priced and WOW what a serving. You won't be left feeling hungry.

A very worthwhile visit. It's sound challenge to mainstream (fossil fuel) energy production and use as well as conventional construction practices and materials. Not sure how some of it applies to very large projects and dense urban housing though.

Kept the kids happy and interesting for adults got a years free membership for one paired visit ! Inspired me to go self reliant in a small way.

We enjoyed our visit and it was great to see how successful the alternative building methods have been. We took the guided walk and our guide was really helpful. A lot of the 'alernative' building methods are more common place now. Recently we've visited the National Building Center near Swindon which is sponsored by firms who use a lot of these methods and were impressed at how they've made modern advances upon these once groundbreaking inspiring ideas.

We ate in the restaurant at CAT and the food was great and reasonably priced.

We've had a great day and would recommend a visit for adults and children. Very educational.

I have been trying to get here for around 25 years. I am pleased that I went and it is still inspiring, but I think it perhaps would have been more inspiring 25 years ago, when I was studying environmental management. It’s a little like I would have been absolutely all over it back in 1993 and it very much reminded me of my time as a student back then. The messages are still current but I would have liked to see much more modern examples of how we can make a difference with new home building. I can completely imagine the financial constraints of running such a project and I expect it would not be viable to showcase everything, but I was really hoping to see more ideas about modern building methods, rather than waiting for something to pop up on grand designs. A lot of the exhibits are a little tired now, some don’t work. Having said that, I did enjoy it, the folks there were all really friendly and we had a nice few hours there, in the lovely Dyfi Biosphere.

Hardly anything was working. Told to put our hands on things to feel energy pass by. Nothing.. think this place is more of a school trip kind of day where I feel more effort would have been put in . Family day out in school holidays . Wouldn't recommend it..
