Watch the dramatic moment a Norfolk Police drone, being piloted by Sgt Danny Leach, spotted a missing man stuck in very dense reed beds and marshland at Titchwell. Sgt Leach was then able to guide a team from Hunstanton Coastguard Rescue Team and Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service to him #allsafe 🙌
At 1549 this afternoon we received multiple 999 calls reporting two seriously injured climbers at Fair Head. We tasked Ballycastle & Coleraine Coastguard Rescue Teams, Irish Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter 118, Police and Ambulance. Coastguards on scene assisted by North West Mountain Rescue Team stabilised the casualties. Rescue 118 winched both casualties into the helicopter and were flown to Belfast Royal Victoria Hospital.
Come across a flood, turn around don’t drown.
We are never too popular when we makes these appeals.
Please do not go into the water after your dog.
If your dog gets into difficulty, call us. We have the correct equipment and training to rescue it. If we get reports of a dog in the water and people in after it, the dog will come last, even if the people are out of the water when Coastguard arrive.
... Don’t hate us. 🐾♥️
