Beefy was something else...once met, never forgotten!

Beefy Jenkins, the colossus of Cwmaman, died 18 years ago not long after he turned 40. He had osteogenesis imperfecta – or brittle bone disease and wasn’t expected to live more than four months let alone four years. He packed more into those forty years than most of us manage in one – including more than a hundred fractures. He was an actor, showman and my friend who took the words in my head and gave voice to them on stage, radio and one television play, RAINBOW CHASER.

We have an open rehearsal for singers who can strut like Cardiff City supporters this Saturday 10 March between 2 and 5pm at Blackwood Miners. Hold a tune and give it some attitude.

After two great peformances in Porth, the Chainworks pack help out the Welsh team before their game against South Africa. Then it's the real game - TOM JONES' SOFA at Ponty Museum Saturday 8pm.
Expect some big hits, great singing and lots of drama.
