excellent food, great service, well worth a visit

Went to the chapel for my sister-in-laws birthday. As soon as they realised it was a birthday celebration they allocated us a table in their restaurant upstairs. Due to an accident on the m4 everyone apart from us were very late yet they were very acccommadating. The service was brilliant and the meal was excellent. I would recommend the Chapel to anyone and their cocktails were gorgeous 😃 Especially a big thank you to the young lady who dealt with us she was lovely 😊

Went last night for the first time with 2 friends. Very impressed by the interior design. Friendly attentive staff with a special mention for our waiter Alan. Nothing was too much trouble. The food came quickly and was delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Went for a meal last night for our 27th wedding anniversary. Food was gorgeous and the service was very good. The young lady who was from St Kitts was lovely and chatty and when she knew it was our anniversary tried to get our desserts customised for the anniversary. Unfortunately too late, but the thought was there. Beautiful building and interior, great atmosphere, good service and lovely food. Would definitely return 👌🏼

Went for Sunday lunch with parents, greeted down stairs and taken up to our table, the building has been very well been designed and a great use of space. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. 4 people for 2 course and drink for £120 was excellent value! Will be back.

Well what a great place, I’ve had lunch there which was amazing but tonight’s dinner was on another level, from the time we arrived it was great, the staff were wonderful and the food was just out of this world. Will definitely be back. If I could it would have 20 stars well done.

We visited yesterday for Sunday lunch and to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with our mums and children . We weren't disappointed . We all chose Sunday roast and it was delicious with plenty of meat and Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were so tasty . We could not fault the delicious food and our waiter was attentive and friendly .

We will definitely be back and will definitely be recommending this place to others 🌟🌟

The team at Chapel 1877 made sure everything was perfect for our wedding day - great communication before the event and did a wonderful job decorating the venue on the day. Highly recommend booking Chapel for a stunning wedding setting, Karen and Cheselle and the team will do everything possible to make sure your wedding reception goes smoothly.

Steak was amazing , cooked perfectly to how I asked , staff were very friendly, venue is visually stunning, the private booths are a nice touch , one for the future ��

When trying to book I was initially told the restaurant was fully booked as it was a Saturday night I was looking for-however the lovely reservations lady went out of her way to fit us in and I’m so glad she did.We loved it and will definitely be back.

Lovely welcome and service. Excellent food - I would recommend the belly pork - delicious. Stunning building. Oh and a very good G&T.

Beautiful setting for Sunday lunch. Excellent choices to suit most. The afternoon tea looked amazing too! A real treat will definitely return.

The food is of excellent quality and taste. To bad our waiter didn’t take into regard that if you order 2 gin and tonics with olives and then have 2 starters and 2 mains, it is not logica that the starters come before the G&T’s... customers should not have to explicitely mention the sequence of the order...

Beautiful food and friendly staff although they were a little understaffed when we first came in and had to wait a while to order drinks and food. When we were seated we were offered water for the table which we accepted. When the bill came at the end of the meal we noticed we were charged £3.80 for this water. I think this was really steep and don’t normally get charged for water, let alone this amount. Also the deserts were quite small considering the price. A 12% service charge is automatically applied so check your bill before you pay.

Some of the dishes are distinctly on the sweet side but otherwise nicely flavoured and beautifully cooked and presented. The building and atmosphere are fab and the staff are friendly and indeed thoroughly delightful. Oh and some of them, at least, will give you an honest opinion too, which is both refreshing and helpful

After lots of experience of Afternoon Teas ... this was very lovely with lots of home made goodies. Weirdly and unlike anywhere else we’ve ever been there was no refill of tea or coffee. We were presented with a bill that was more than we’d origionally planned it to be. Shame, and unessesary as we’d had a lovely afternoon.

I like the Chapel, food is always great quality and really enjoyable but it was the Robbie Williams concert and whilst town was busy, the Chapel was not overly busy but sadly it still took 45 minutes for the food to be served which made us later to the concert than we would have liked .. also as I went to approach the staff to query the wait, they would conveniently busy themselves and walk away. Not good service considering the price you pay and service charge is automatically added to the bill too!
