Coming up next Saturday - we're thrilled to welcome #Peilot artist Tim Bromage and his collaborator Joseph Badman back to Chapter with their performance H.O.R.S.E which they debuted at Experimentica back in 2015!
Such an incredible show Inspired by research into psychic phenomena, Victorian magic tricks and the novels of Philip K Dick. The performance treads a fine line between surrealism and cynicism; playing with truth, fiction and the grey areas in between.

Watched Funny Cow here. Definitely will be returning .
Staff are so lovely too xxx
The venue was buzzing on Saturday evening.
A quick drink before settling down in what had to be the most comfortable cinema seat I've curled up in.
I deposited my two Starwars fanatic teenage sons in cinema 1 before settling in to cinema 2 for Tawai.
No noisy popcorn, slurping drinking straws or other irritating confectionary noise to be heard as they aren't allowed in the cinemas.
Brilliant, thought provoking film. I will definitely be back to Chapter cinemas.
Saw film Walk with Me. Amazing spiritual film. Lovely comfy cinema seats with good leg room. Sound on film just right. Not too loud. Cafe lovely n spacious but not much choice of cooked food.
Nice range of beers etc , food good - I mostly go there to see films in their 2 cinemas more convenient than going to town - pleasant atmosphere and plenty of other Art stuff going on
I've lived in Cardiff the majority of my life and only within the last couple of years visited this place,
It's fantastic for catching up with friends
Seeing films 🎥
And I've recently been to a presentation there.
The facilities are great quality
Staff very happy to help
Food and drinks very nice as they cater for different people
Overall I love it
Worth a visit when in Cardiff
I'm at Chapter quite a lot as our social group from Headway meet there every Thursday.
Occasionally I pop in during the week for a bite to eat with friends. Sometimes they have a drink or two from your good selection which are reasonably priced. Some of the food on the menu is a bit pricey but always of good quality and well presented. Nice options for veggies and vegans.
The staff are always friendly and helpful.
I've not yet been to the cinema but friends go there to watch independent movies.
I was there Sunday enjoying the sun and atmosphere at the Art Car Bootique. Had a brilliant time, thanks!
I always visit Chapter when in Cardiff and have done for years. My daughter, her partner and friends are 'regulars'. Food is excellent (love the vegan sausages and sweet potato fries!) all ver reasonably priced. I love the atmosphere too....awsome place. Because of its popularity it's sometimes difficult to get a table but that's the price of success
Great place to meet people and for some lovely food and company
Excellent Cardiff venue for eating, drinking, live music, theatre, cinema and socialising. The community garden outside is very impressive too with all sorts of herbs, vegetables, fruits and flowers. And it is an easy place to find with easy access to buses too.
Chapter is always a nice place to go, for a show, a movie or just to relax in their café with good beers, wines and snacks! Definitely recommended!
Came to see 'Belonging' last night and was completely blown away by the performance. Very well researched actors who played heart warming parts. I laughed and cried throughout.
Each character played a part in could relate to and empathise with. A must see
Best place to watch any film...just like being in your own living room; quote from my daughter who also loves the Chapter
As always, great food and great experience. Was visiting before going to The Chimes for lunch/dinner and popped in afterwards until close and only just made the last train home.
i/we are regularly at chapter & have just got home after a great animation double bill by the late night work club = ghosts & stranger. both very different & some really magical imagery. thank you/ diolch chapter
An excellent breakfast on Saturday, prior to watching Cardiff City win promotion to the Premier League.
A great selection of craft beer (never had such gd german beer on tap in wales) at a gd price. The exhibition in the gallery is thought provoking and the decor is in gd taste. Great place for people that want to try something less main stream.
Chapter has a great atmosphere and a great selection of craft beer. Unfortunately it still subscribes to the idea of binary toilets when it could move into the 21st Century and have 100% gender neutral toilets so that their trans and nonbinary patrons could feel comfortable.
Noticed Joe Ledley was in Chapter today. Shame the Chefs were more interested in having their photo taken than cooking a Child's meal. 40 mins for a pasta and tomato sauce was not acceptable. (by the time it arrived our 10 month old was too tired and irritable to eat it). We continue to be underwhelmed by the food offered. Items often sold out, wait times too long and disappointing quality, far better quality and prices in Canton, would highly recommend Calabrisella!
Dreadful. Went for dinner there 2 days ago. Told there would be an half an hour wait for the food. When it arrived it looked and tasted like it had been sitting there for half an hour. The chicken was so over cooked it was like leather. Really disappointed and its not cheap £11.50 for an inedible chicken burger and a diet coke. They need to wake up, I ordered what I thought would be easy being as they were short staffed. No excuse.
