Raisin, nnl5xlff and providing trainers, we help schools run clubs for their children. Our website and clubs bring the enjoyment of chess to children.

Chess Knights Wales CIC is a Community Interest Company that was formed on 22nd May 2014.

The main aim of our organisation is to promote chess in schools and run clubs for their children. In addition to delivering chess to the pupils, we also focus on disabled children, those from low income families and pupils who struggle to participate in the main social network.

The disabled can take part and gain a sense of accomplishment whilst a simple chess board can be bought for less than five pounds and children can play at any time for no cost.

We wish to provide affordable clubs where trained chess teachers will help them learn the game. Chess develops logical thought and increasing social interaction, and it is our desire to bring this opportunity to as many children in West Wales as possible. With a ten week course each term, we also run small tournaments alongside.

The website allows juniors to learn more about the game in an interactive environment, watching videos and acquiring knowledge of the game by participating in presentation activities. As members, they will even be able to follow a course to eventually earn a certificate in chess theory.

Our organisation aims to boost the overall junior chess community in South Wales. By teaching children how to play and showing them they have the ability to participate, we hope to boost the official leagues and the number of children that take part.
