A momentous day at Chocks Away Diner.....the mighty RAF Red Arrows strutting their stuff!! They never fail to impress as do the crowds that follow. We thank each and everyone of you who came over the last two days to catch a glimpse of the mighty red jets and for being patient getting on and off site and whilst waiting for our food! The diner is all set to welcome thousands of customers who are eager to catch a glimpse of the mighty RAF Red Arrows who will be around Hawarden Friday afternoon midday/afternoon Saturday. We have published special red arrow menus to speed the service up with the high demand. Please note we are now FULL. AMAZING NEWS IN.......The mighty RAF Red Arrows are now confirmed that they will be paying us a visit!!! They will be around mid afternoon Friday 29th June and Saturday 30th until early afternoon whilst displaying Llandudno. We’re really really excited they are heading our way. Chef has launched the summer offering of our “Aerodrome Afternoon Tea” with a selection of sandwiches per person, a duo of mini scones with jam and clotted cream, chefs signature custard tart with poached rhubarb “rhubarb & custard” a “British” strawberries and cream shot glass and a delicious salted Carmel cup cake topped with salted caramel fudge!!! Bank Holiday Monday today and the first day of half term so we are open and trading from 8am until last orders at 3.30pm..the out door terrace and play area will be open all day for kids to play and view aircraft activity. The diner closes up from another staggering weekend of trade which included a party of 34 WOMEN having our gentleman’s afternoon tea. The ladies really pushed the boat out and sank nearly 20 bottles of prosecco!! It certainly was fun and games. We enter EASTER BREAK now and it’s sure to be busy with fine weather upon us the outdoor terrace is ready for action. Went for 1st time to chocks away diner. Excellent food very taste and hot . Staff were lovely aswell . Loved watching the planes coming in and taking off . Will be back again definitely.

We came for our first visit yesterday and were really impressed with the quality and quantity of the food, especially the fish and chips. Will definitely visit again and were lucky enough to see the Beluga take off!!

Visited today to a nice welcome from staff. We had the Texan bbq burger and the steak burger. Both extremely impressive in presentation and taste. The BBq brisket on the Texan burger was really tasty. All in all a very impressive visit and good experience, when speaking with the chef, His pride and passion in his work Shows why this place is so successful. Keep it up. The afternoon teas being brought out also looked really good!

Took my mum for afternoon tea, they had reserved a table at front window so we watched planes land and take off , with an amazing platter of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Would definitely come back. Excellent service and food. Highly recommended.

Nice, freshly prepared food with a good range of options available. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. We go on a rEgypt’s basis and it’s always great 😊

Lovely friendly staff and a brilliant view of the aircraft my 10 year old was thrilled to see a Beluga and see it take off! The food was piping hot and delicious and good value! Would definitely go again �

Had afternoon tea at Chocks Away with my husband,it was a present from my daughter and it was absolutely beautiful and the staff are so nice,have also had a meal there too,would definitely recommend Chocks Away for a meal and afternoon tea.(Fantastic)

A local gem! Had been meaning to try this place for a while and when I finally did I was well impressed. We tried burgers, chicken burgers, cakes and all were fantastic. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

Came today for afternoon tea. Arrived early & the staff cleaned the table as someone had put something on the table.

Cakes were lovely. No complaints.

Im fussy with food so ate what I could from the sandwhiches. But my Grandma enjoyed them.

My only complaint is I had never been before and not many instructions on how to get in the place.. i knew i had to give my details in but didnt know where/how.



I waited at the gate a good 5/10 mins before the man came to his window and said i needed to get out the car and give him details at the window.. so thats what I did.. but before hand I didnt have a clue and felt stupid as gate wasnt opening �� atleast i know for next time now.

This use to be a massive fav for my late Mum, infact during her most poorliest time whilst enduring chemo her daily visit was what she looked forward to most. Tbf at the time the chefs and staff accomodatted her with her food choices as her food intake was very limited. Haven't been for nearly 18 months now after losing my Mum as myself and my Dad came in to ask about the possibility of holding a small wake seeing as Mum adored this place. The reaction from the chef that was asked was awful, sadly, he didn't realise that I could see him and his facial expression and the manner he replied to the lovely lady that asked the question. This has been gnawing at me for a while and I now feel I'm in a place where I can write this without being inappropriate or personal. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Forgot my order. Wife ate hers and mine didn't turn up. ...so much for dining together. And it wasn't even busy. .people who turned up after my order was placed received theirs.....
