We are having a rebrand here at Chuckles Nursery ready for our 20th year. Our original girl and boy was hand drawn and adapted from a colouring book so I have asked a design company to come up with a new idea to take us forward. Its hard to let go of old favourites and maybe I put too much focus on this. You might not even remember what our girl and boy look like. So I am asking you for your comments. Anyone who has been lucky enough to be part of the Chuckles family will know we have always been an advocate for healthy eating. Well we didn’t doubt it for one second but Santa’s fairies have been busy here at Chuckles once again, while the elves were back busy at Santa’s workshop. They had a jolly old time and left glitter everywhere. They even left a list from the elves for #TeamChuckles to do some jobs with the children on the run up to Christmas. We hope the children love it as much as we do #ChucklesLife ❤️❤️❤️

Well here we are, Chuckles is 19 years old and we are just putting the finishing touches to our latest re-vamp to take us into our 20th year. It’s been another eventful year with the team continuing to win recognition for all their hard work and commitment. This year we have been really lucky to attend some really specialised training which we have been able to put into place. However the ultimate recognition is that we have now reached maximum capacity and won't be able to take any new bookings for a while, which can only confirm we are getting it right for everyone. Thank you #TeamChuckles for your commitment to making every day an adventure and I look forward to reaching 20 and having an event to remember. Lisa xx

The Childcare Offer for Wales is currently rolling out across the 22 Local Authorities and is now covering the whole of Newport. You can only apply for Newport’s Childcare Offer through the following website www.newport.gov.uk/childcareoffer . This is open for those parents who have a child in Newport who is already 3 and for everyone else, you will need to submit your application 6 weeks before the end of the term in which your child turns 3.
It is important that you apply via the link www.newport.gov.uk/childcare . It is a separate offer to that which is currently in place in England and you should not use the Childcare Choices website to make your application as this will not draw down the funding for your place in Newport or the rest of Wales.

Our pre-school children are really enjoying developing new skills in our woodwork session. As they get more confident using the tools, we are seeing some fabulous creations !!

This week it's our little cubs having lots of fun getting very messy!! Especially when they realised if they clapped their hands together they could make bubbles (and also get Katie extra messy too) :)

Harry the Hedgehog and his familly are on the move in car park in the mornings. So for all you early starters please drive carefully when coming into the drive his little legs cant quite get him across quick enough .....thanks in advance on behalf of Harry and family
