Interesting setting assessment this week for a grade II listed church and a 70 year old sawmill.
Really surprising site visit yesterday to a mini Pompeii just west of Chepstow. Caerwent Roman town has 4th century town walls standing 5m high, houses, shops, a forum and a temple all amongst the current houses. Absolutely splendid.
Stunning venue for a conference - Kings Manor, York.
Assisting the fabulous Vanessa Castagnino with the Historical Metallurgy Society's Research in Progress Conference in York.
Wow!! What a location! Stunning Motte and Bailey at Sandal Castle.
Great to be working with iBEX technical access http://ibextechnicalaccess.co.uk - they even provided sausage and egg sandwiches!!
Boots all packed. Must be time for another digging adventure. This time Sandal Castle in Wakefield.
Glorious morning working at one of my favourite historic properties - Stokesay Castle in Shropshire.
Friday night is finds processing night! Some lovely artefacts from Fairhaven WW2 site.
Not much turning up on site in Harrow, but worth visiting to see the suberb work undertaken by Ravelin Archaeological Services and MOLES Archaeology.
Fantastic day today at the Glamorgan Gwent Archaeological Trust. Such an informative and friendly team who I hope to be working with soon. http://www.ggat.org.uk/
An exciting find discovered today during our Headstone Manor evaluation, which started yesterday. It's great to be working with MOLES Archaeology again who are doing a brilliant job on site.
Digitising the fantastic trench plans draw by the team at the Fairhaven Community Dig.
A fabulous museum at Headstone Manor, Harrow - looking forward to working there in the next few weeks with MOLES Archaeology.
Featured on BBC Radio Bristol this morning to discuss the future of Ashton Court.
Helping out the Bristol and Avon Archaeological Society by setting up and manning a stand at the Cifa conference.
