Popped in there on the off chance of getting a table on a Saturday night with my friend. Most of the tables were reserved but the waiter kindly found us one. The staff were very attentive, with the waitress calling back several times to make sure everything was okay with our meal. I have to say - Caio is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. The portions were a good size, piping hot and freshly made - Not your generic 'out of a jar' sauces. As we were sat near the kitchen we saw most of the plates that came out, and it all looked delicious! I will definitely be going back.

I always thought Bosco Nero’s was appalling, tried it three times and was always disappointed muchly - the quality and taste of the food, the presentation of it and the freezing cold dark depressing building, it was truly awful and stuck in a time from long ago - so I was really interested to try again with the new ownership and a different menu, especially as the new place has had so many negative reviews on here, ranging from the portion sizes to the consistency of the pasta, and the authenticity of the sauces, etc.

Gotta say, after our visit, I think it’s been hugely improved by the refurb, it’s clean and warm and much lighter and joyous in there, and the staff were very accommodating and welcoming and attentive. As for the food, it came really quickly, I had a starter and some mains and everything was really lovely. To me, it was very definitely proper Italian food, authentic taste, texture and quality, perfect portion sizes and nothing to complain about from us, and from what I could see, the food coming out on the other tables looked lovely too, especially the pasta dishes and pizzas.. so I have no idea what people have been complaining about, and I’m an extremely fussy foody. So well done guys, we’ll be back soon. � �

Amazing little restaurant 2nd time I've been. 1st was with my daughter's as a night out to the cinema with a meal first it was so good we all said we'd come again so my youngest wanted to go again for her birthday and it was fantastic again. Will be booking our 3rd visit again shortly. Great place for a romantic meal for two or for a group of people who enjoy great Italian food.

Absolutely amazing fathers day meal. They opened the restaurant for us when they hadn't intended too as they don't open on a Sunday. Every single starter and main was simply beautiful and the service was second to none!



We will definitely be booking far more family functions here and are very very excited armed in the knowledge that they provide a take away service.
