£8 for two tickets to see the Justice League movie, you can't go wrong with that in this day and age. The last time went to an Odeon, two tickets cost me £21. That's more than the cost of the tickets, the parking and the drinks in at this branch of Cineworld.

User

We went to see Avengers last night, my husband had booked tickets on line unaware that he had booked for Friday not Saturday. The young man checking tickets saw my two boys disappointment, watching us frantically trying to book new tickets for the viewing he disappeared and came back with 4 tickets for us to go in. Thank you Cineworld for this act of kindness , we will always come back to this Cinema and the experience was fab!

User

We visit here from Newport, can’t fault the prices, more than half the price of Newport Cineworld. Loved the 4DX experience of Ready Player One even though the chair beats you up the wind was a bit to cold for me, but we had fun and can’t wait to come again

User

We thought it was very good and the price of the tickets were good to and staff were very helpful

User

Took my two children (9 & 4) to watch The Incredibles 2 for our first 4DX experience and it was fantastic. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and the kids were in awe of all the special effects, moving seats etc. We won't be doing it often due to cost but brilliant as a treat every now and then. Highly recommended

User

One word Amazing! Watch the new Kingsman film and the 4dx was out of this world!

Can't wait to go back and watch Star Wars later this year! Definitely coming back soon

User

Love cineworld £4 tickets everyday. If you get the chance to go to the superscreen it’s only £5! It’s wicked.

User

Last night was my first 4DX experience at Cineworld in Cardiff and it didn't disappoint. Ready Player One was the perfect film to watch with all the extra effects. Brilliant!

User

I loved it had a shock when I went up as it's completely changed since the last time I went!!! that was a good couple of years ago.

It's definitely changed for the better though very modern and has places to chill out! I love it.

Well worth a visit to Cineworld Cardiff and great prices too x

User

Great!!

User

Great price

User

Great cinema and reduced price for Seniors. The seats were so comfortable and plenty of space. Much better than my local VUE cinema.

User

First time at a 4DX and Jurassic World was incredible

User

Couldn’t have been better! Fantastic value for money, comfy seats, clean, good service. I will never go to Odeon again!

User

Brilliant.. Prices far more favourable than other places, friendly staff.. Massive screens.

User

Amazing! Loved every second from walking into the theatre, there being a t-Rex handing out leaflets, then the t-Rex coming into the theatre to greet everyone! Staff & movie were amazing! Our first time in a 4DX & my son can’t wait to come back xx

User

A massive thank you to the wonderful staff in Cardiff, our son took a tumble on the escalator, they were so helpful and kind , completely professional, thank for the pop corn put a smile straight back on his little face , thank you again xxx

User

4th time to see a film in 4dx 3d with my 6 year old son, he was a bit scared during the 1st n 2nd film but now loves it! Deffo only way to watch a marvel film now

User

Went to see Murder on the Orient Express on 20th November at 12.00. Comfortable seats, competitive seat prices but we were freezing - even with our coats on - which spoils the whole experience

User

Went to see Muppets Christmas Carol last night and I had an amazing time, the service was great, the auditorium was full and that is what I like when I come to the cinema. Can't wait for my next trip to Cineworld.

User

Went to see IT yesterday at 17:50, was really good and enjoyed it but the lighting was to bright and the film wasn’t loud enough. Otherwise was really good, and would go again

User

Went to see IT last night at 18:10. The film was amazing and the 4DX absolutely made the film better, however we found that the film was very very quiet, to the point where you could hear the fans and bursts of air from the seat in front of you instead of the narrative of the film. The auditorium was also too bright to the point I could see every single persons face in the cinema so the strobe was pretty useless. I was disappointed with that to be honest. Overall, I would see a film in 4DX again but please turn the lights off and turn it up!

User

Took my son to watch Black Panther in 4Dx as part of his birthday weekend. He wanted nachos but not the dip as he didn't like them. Told the cashier, who was very abrupt & couldn't even muster a smile, not to worry & he snapped back "I have to give you one". I wasn't asking for discount or anything & as they come in little pots how hard was it to just not put a pot in the tray!!! Other than that this was our 1st 4dx experience & we thoroughly enjoyed it. The 'punches' were a little hard & my back is killing me now lol

User

Saw the 17:50 showing yesterday, really enjoyed and found the 4DX added to the experience. Only downside is that the lights in the auditorium were far too bright, and also there wasn’t a massive amount of water/scent used which was disappointing. At some scenes, the fans overpowered the film as they were really loud - but would definitely try it again in future.

User

Nice enough cinema but didn't appreciate the eye rolling and being looked at like I'd grown an extra head because I didn't want a large popcorn, even if it is only 30p more (which I didn't need to have explained to me 3 times like I'd just arrived from Jupiter!).

User

Loved my first visit to Cardiff Cineworld yesterday to see Mamma Mia lovely cinema fab film but had to go upstairs for my pre booked tickets and queue in the snack shop which took a while tho it was quicker than the lower level shop.

User

I'm a regular at Cardiff Cineworld as I have an unlimited card and like to make the most of it.

I rarely have any issues when I go except the self serve taking a lifetime to use! Some screens are colder than others, some are like the tropics. The building work that is ongoing is annoying but they've done their best to accomodate visitors.

I went to see Tomb Raider on Saturday afternoon with my 11 year old and was disappointed to see that you had let a couple in with a toddler in a pushchair. Whilst I appreciate that the film is a 12A, it really wasn't suitable for a toddler! I know it's difficult in these situations for you to make a call, but I really think you got it wrong! The child was running around, crawling over the seats and talking throughout. I informed staff members, who conveniently came in once dad had silenced the child, but they were unable to really do anything. It was incredibly frustrating and I feel that the film was spoilt by this child.

User

Had a great night, film was great, but I always have a good time there, staff are pleasant and helpful

User

Comfortable seats, helpful staff, reasonable price. ...only downside was the temperature, had to wrap myself up on my coat to keep warm!

User

Cinema is always clean & tidy, however drinks and snacks could be a bit less expensive.

User

Went to watch Thor Ragnarok last night on the superscreen Cardiff. The film itself was epic, the chairs comfy and spacious....

However this is now the 3rd time I've been to this particular cinema and there has been no air-con in a V busy opening night screening. It got to the point where I was down to a T-shirt and jeans and had sweat beads forming on my brow.

I've been a loyal Cinewoeld unlimited customer for almost 10yrs and normally use Newport Friars Walk. Which is newer, closer but sadly doesn't offer a lot as relatively small but they manage to get the heating spot on.

Have to say that the Cardiff branch, whilst offers, superscreen, 4dx plenty of screens. It sadly needs to sort out its basic heating desperately.

User

Saw Murder On The Orient Express...really enjoyed the film...but downside was myself and my friend were freezing...very cold draft down our backs which made the experience a little uncomfortable

User

It's a nice cinema but the 'SuperScreen' thing is completely not worth it. It's basically just a larger room with more seats and therefore more chances of seeing people on their phones or talking the whole way through a film, the whole time making you pay more for it.

Otherwise it's a decent cinema experience.

User

I've been to the 4dx shows a couple of times now and there's been an issue every time either water don't work sound too quiet and the 3d is not the best and the lights on floor and ceiling reflect in glasses which is the most annoying thing I don't believe they maintain the 4dx to a high standard which is unfortunate because when it works it's great

User

I absolutely love this cinema but recent changes have unfortunately removed a lot of the personal touch I loved - the lobby refurb looks great but it’s all machines so no personal touch

This has led to lots going up to the first floor for tickets as well as food which has the knock on effect of huge slow queues as there are so few staff

Since the price cut to tickets the cinema is much busier but there doesn’t seem to be enough staff to deal with that

User

Very big and sprawling over 4 levels, with unhelpful staff.

Can make finding out which screen your watching, when buying your tickets online, very frustrating.

User

Loyal 4DX customer...love Cineworld and the 4DX really makes the difference and experience worthwhile. I visit the Cardiff cinema and travel down from Swansea as a family to have day out and this experience is part of that. Watched Black Panther yesterday...amazing film spoilt by one gentleman bringing in a very small child who continually shouted and screamed throughout the screening. I couldn’t see any ushers but 3 different people from the audience went over to have a word with this guy. Lights go up and the usher was sitting there throughout the show. I know it would be difficult for any young employee to have this conflict but it ruined it for us as a family and probably the rest of the audience.

User

Really disappointed experience. Because no manned ticket sales, people are buying tickets at the confectionary area. So 15 mins queuing. Missed the start of the film - kids upset. I waited to get the kids drinks and popcorn £28+ later. No drink carriers so two trips to the cinema later - finally get to my seat 25mins into the film. cineworld you are masters of your own fate. Killing your own business and me £50 lighter. Not good.

User

It’s was a cold winter’s day so not sure why the air conditioning was? Either that or someone left an emergency exit open because the cinema was freezing during our film, not a great experience. For the amount of money I spent I’d thought Cineworld would have turned the heating on.

Nice enough cinema but didn't appreciate the eye rolling and being looked at like I'd grown an extra head because I didn't want a large popcorn, even if it is only 30p more (which I didn't need to have explained to me 3 times like I'd just arrived from Jupiter!).

Loved my first visit to Cardiff Cineworld yesterday to see Mamma Mia lovely cinema fab film but had to go upstairs for my pre booked tickets and queue in the snack shop which took a while tho it was quicker than the lower level shop.
