Cineworld Cinema - Newport Spytty Park

Always love going to the cinema with my Boyfriend, and I always try and go to Spytty since their seats are more comfortable!

Expensive but then they all seem to be these days. Comfortable and plenty to choose from. B.y.o. snacks cos they ain't cheap.

I am a loyal customer to Spytty cineworld and never had a major issue before but tonight me and a friend came in 7/11/17 at about 8.30pm to watch a 15 rating film and the two staff members behind the food counter were so unbelievably rude and patronising. They were laughing at our expense as we walked away from being denied entry to the film as my friend didn’t have ID (he is 19 and I 21) we accepted that we wouldn’t be allowed in if we didn’t have the ID, as unusual it was to have been asked in the first place as neither of us have ever been ID’d in this cinema before, however the dark haired lady and young-ish bloke found it hilarious to turn us away and made my friend feel so belittled by the way they spoke to him.
I have not seen these two employees before in this cinema and I am surprised that this chain would even employ such people with poor customer service. We will no longer be spending our money here and will be forwarding on the message to all our friends and family to avoid this cinema from now on as they don’t know how to treat their customers without discriminating and ruining their experience,

Brilliant cinema with multiple screens showing the most demanding of films. Great staff and contains multiple options for snacks and drinks as well as a huge parking space making it easy to arrive here.

Screen 6 at least had poor picture quality. Washed out blacks and low light... Which sometimes changed. On the plus side, the sound was good. Didn't ruin the film, but detracted from it.

On outskirts of town, free parking, lots of chain restaurants in vicinity.
Screen13 is the best, bigger seats, etc. The rest could do with refurbishment but is perfectly acceptable.
Friendly staff, Starbucks on premise.

Good cinema. Nice service but still on par with probably every other cineworld cinema so nothing special.

Went today to see the minion film! My hub asked for the autism showing and we paid! Then went to screen 5 which i thought was weird as its usually 13! When the film started it seemed noisy for an autism screening! We did go and ask and was sent to screen 12! By the time we got there we should have stayed home! As we couldnt see the film anyway! What gets me is why dont the staff listen? Plus my hubby had his last day of his hols and we thought it would be a nice round off! We got comp tickets but to me it was waste of a morning!

The staff are always pleasant, friendly and appear happy in their jobs. The cinema is kept clean and tidy. Queues are generally kept to a minimum but managed pretty well even when there's a popular film on. Easy to book.
