If you're the lady who bought Earl Grey from us this morning (Friday), there was an error in the weighing process, and we owe you 40g! Sorry, hope you see this message..

Still searching for a centre piece for your vegan Christmas dinner? Look no further than Parsnipship's St. Nick's Nutroast and wild Mushroom Nutroast still available at Clancy's. For two to three people, served in a bakeable panis bois.

She doesn't want her picture on FB but we want to thank the customer who's brought her original zip-lock bag back to be refilled (with English Breakfast tea) at least a dozen times. And those customers who're returning with their grip-seal bags for spices. We've been searching and, finally, have a source of biodegradable grip-seals which we'll be trialling soon, but re-using existing bags is going to make a big-difference. Thanks!

To top off our rare spice finds we'll soon be taking delivery of some incredible varieties of salt, including Hawaiian black, red and jade, smoked salt pearls from Namibia, Danish Viking salt, smoked with wild juniper form Norway, intensely flavoured bamboo salt made by South Korean monks and Inca sun salt from Machu Picchu.

It's all happening in the world of spice! Alongside the very rare Bhutan lemon peppercorns (sichuan type) we posted about earlier, we'll also have small quantities of other rarely obtainable peppercorns. From Kerala the fiery Banasura highland pepper, from Madagascar, piney voatsiperifery jungle pepper and, from Kampot, Cambodia, red long peppers (left to mature longer on the vine, developing cinnamon notes to add to the pepperry hit). Best of all though we have black and red Kampot peppercorns, considered by many to the finest in the world.

For the chilli fans, we have several, very unusual varieties either in stock or coming soon including aji limon, yellow brain strain, puma pimento, habalokia and the new contender for the world record, the fatali jigsaw.

Spice lovers will know that we've been unable to get Sichuan peppercorns for some time due to production issues in China. However, we've now managed to source a variety that is gathered form the wild in Bhutan, completely free of the pesticides that prevent the Chinese corns form being sold in the UK. They're due to arrive Monday, fingers crossed. This really is a rare find and a real treat for cooks and spice lovers.

Chilli mayhem, not only do we have lots of lovely new sauces from Chilli of the Valley and a whole new batch of nasty, nasty Carolina Reapers we also have a bunch of these evil looking critters, the Chocolate Reaper. Vicious stuff! There's more though, give us a week or two and this year's harvest of Nagaland Ghost Chillies will be on the shelves along with a couple of rare delights like the aji limon and yellow brain-strain.
