This is what happens when it’s been a great night and no one wants to go home!! 😜 Be great if anyone would like, share and tag anyone you know in this post. Every year Kate and I look at the joy of of the crowd and the happy faces. United in enjoying music, dancing, good company and a few beers. It’s been the most trouble free Fringe/Jazz Frazz or whatever you’d like to call it in 12 years, and the best yet for atmosphere. Thanks to all our families and staff who work they’...re socks off complaint free. Without them very difficult indeed. Appreciate them greatly. And to all the customers be it locals, visitors, friends musicians etc. We thank you all for your humanity, consideration and respect for the establishment and for others around you. Proud of everyone there so please get sharing and tagging. See you all next year.

Went there for evening meal with my wife while away in Brecon for the weekend.

The staff are friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and reasonably priced, if, and when we are back in the area we would definitely pay it another visit👍👍

We were looking for somewhere nice for a meal and the Clarence was recommended. We called in lunchtime and we quite impressed with the friendliness, the outside garden, the beer etc so booked and came back for an evening meal. Excellent food and service and good price.

Visiting Brecon for the first time and looked to find a dog friendly pub and The Clarence was recommended. We had an absolutely wonderful Black Rock steak which was delicious and a steak and ale pie that was full of meat from top to bottom. Cannot recommend the food enough, the lovely welcome and the fabulous staff too. Thank you for a perfect evening.

The food here is fabulous first class .... I work just up the road and have been here loads and never a bad meal. When the weather is good lovely beer garden out back

Seriously impressed with the efficiency and dedication of the staff handling a very large wedding party for lunch, in almost a military fashion.



Good beer, lovely pub grub, and all served and cleared away with a warm South Welsh smile.



I will be back for a more relaxed perusal of the menu - especially the black rock grill next time!

Me a d the hubby had a lovely afternoon evening and morning escaping from reality what a lovely friendly atmosphere we were so chilled and relaxed from our 24 break food was amazing definitely will return

Fantastic food and huge portions! Great value for money, the staff are all friendly and very welcoming :) thank you for a great evening!

Fab pub turned up in our biker gear and felt very welcome going to be regulars now as lot cheaper than our usual pub around the corner pennies for a glass of squash lol definitely having lunch next time as looked and smelled amazing �

A large pre booked party of approx 40 people descended on the Inn following a wedding ceremony. The staff were amazing, orders were taken, food was delivered in a timely manner with some folks having starters, all had mains and some had desserts.



Service was faultless and the Thai style fish cakes I had as a starter were fishy with a crisp outer and soft spicy filling. The Moroccan Lamb with cous cous was superb with the right amount of sweetness and spice and extremely tender lamb. All very yummy and well priced. Thoroughly recommend it!
