Clarks Outlet Store

I’ve always found this store to be helpful and one of the few places I can easily find comfortable shoes for work in size 12.
However, it’s often very crowded

Overpriced...

Awful store. Avoid at busy times like the plague. Shoes are never true high street quality. Staff are scarce and when found very unhelpful.

More interested in quantity than quality, but maybe that is what is expected of a discount store. They do measure children's feet but have a poor range and no time to works with customers.... I mean who are they damn customers.

Went to Clarks to purchase boots as a Christmas present for the other half. Went in, picked up boots, went to counter, got card out and proceeded to pay. But just before completing I noticed some scuffs. Asked staff member if they had another pair, which they didn't but did offer to use leather product on the boots there and then. Good experience so far.....

All scuffs didn't come out, so I asked what they intended to do. They ummed and arred for a little while when out of nowhere came the manageress. This is where any positivity that's been built up gets quashed. The manageress says "sorry, these can't be reduced" "it is what it is"....!! I pointed out the scuffs, she said "no problem" gets a tissue and some moisteriser out and rubs into boot for a couple of seconds and says "there you go, good as new". But I don't want good as new, I want new. She repeated the price fix and left. The 2 staff members on the tills giggled and proceeded to request full price....this suggests that the manageress's reputation is one that's a lot to be desired.

My experience went from very positive to extremely negative just because of one manageress's incapable ability to put the customer first, especially at Christmas time. Strong recommendation to enrol this particular employee through CX training and get some coaching...would also question where the performance management is too.

Very disappointing Clarks, very disappointing.
