Clays Of Mold Description
Clay's was established in Chester in 1927. We took over as a family in 1979 and have nursed Clay's through many changes over the years.
At Clay's of Mold you will always find a friendly face and someone to help you with your purchase.
Fashions are stocked over three floors, with Lingerie and Casual Clothing on the ground floor.
We stock lingerie ranges by Fantasie, Charnos, Lepel, Triumph, Playtex, Pour Moi and more. We have Hosiery by Elle, Pretty Polly, Elbeo, Couture, Gypsy but to name a few.

We offer a full measuring and fitting service. This is important as it is reported that over 90% of ladies are in the wrong size bra. Don't let you be one of the 90!
We are past winners of the Retailer of the Year for Lingerie with the Drapers Record fashion magazine.
Upstairs you will find our shoe's and handbag departments along with fashion houses such as Michaela Louisa, Frank Lyman, Mascara and more.
On the upper second floor we have the popular Cafe Clays where you can relax with a lunch or snack or just a cuppa and cake!
If you find stairs difficult, don't worry, we have two stair lifts to get up there!

I'm afraid to say that rumours of our demise are true. We are still alive at the moment but we will cease trading on August 31st 2019. We have tried many things to avoid this situation, but to no avail.
It has been a very difficult decision to make but one out of necessity. Everybody knows how difficult trading on the high street is and the evidence is plain to see. Couple this with increasing costs, reducing sales, the uncertainty over Brexit, out of town shopping and, most... of all, buying online. We have customers scanning labels in store with their smart phones and seeing if they can buy it on the internet any cheaper! I fully understand this, but as somebody put it, 'Use it or lose it'. Please support your local businesses because once they're gone, they won't come back. Soon the only premises that will be trading in town and city centres will be the service industries; restaurants, hairdressers, nail-bars, food shops, opticians etc. Not a great mixture of choice for the shoppers.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our valued customers over the years, our current and past staff whom have made it a pleasure to work alongside. Thank you all.
So, in the meantime, we have 30% off most stock and once it's gone, it's gone. We will be taking orders for underwear up to the end of July and will be able to get your requirements from the manufacturers in August, subject to availability.
