How cute is this little guy 😍😍

At the mouth of the Teifi Estuary, Poppit Sands is a sandy beach backed by dunes.
At high water there is plenty of beach but it’s a low tide when the full extent of sand appears to go almost to Gwbert on the other side. Don’t attempt a crossing, though, the currents are too strong. Watch the tide when it’s coming in. It’s fast!
It is the start, or the end, of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path which takes you right around the coast to Amroth in the south.

We're delighted to announce the arrival of ten rescued ex-battery farmed hens to Clydey 😀. Given their difficult start in life they are positively frolicking around the pen with our other chickens which is a delight to see. At present their feathers are a little worse for wear but with a lot of TLC we aim to get them on tip top form very soon. We shall keep you abreast of their progress!

Wow what a first visit. Absolutely stunning venue we were only there for an afternoon visiting friends But the whole vibe I got from from the place made me want to stay forever. We will certainly booking up for a visit as soon as we can xx

Wonderful place!!! Everything is very well thought-out to make sure you have a wonderful time. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Great facilities. Very clean too. Beautiful picturesque surroundings. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

What can I say about Clydey Cottages that hasn't been reflected in their consistently rated 5* reviews? We booked based on the amazing reviews online and were delighted to experience it for ourselves. They did not disappoint. The most beautiful and well maintained cluster of holiday cottages - five star we felt was too low a rating. They've thought of everything for families with small children. Our two adored the daily animal fork feeding - both informative and enjoyable. Farmer Rachel had the children captivated! Although we were blessed with superb weather, their indoor facilities were fab - including a heated pool and spa area and soft play area and games room. Satellite TV was a huge bonus for evening viewing and we all enjoyed our private hot tub. Nothing is too much trouble for owners Dewi & Jacqui and their team. Whilst every cottage was occupied, the sense of privacy was really quite extraordinary. A stay in Clydey is a the perfect family holiday and we will certainly be back!

What a superb place to stay. It is lovely and quiet and the scenery is immense. Everything you could wish got is there from play areas, swimming pool, animal feeding, woodland walks. Then only 30 mins drive away is mwnt beach one of the best beaches I have ever been to.

What a peaceful relaxing place for parents and an ideal 'living on a farm' experience for toddlers and young children. It was such a nice experience to see our 19 month old daughter Siena enjoy feeding the farm animals, having her first swim in the pool and playing happily in the play room. The beautiful cottage and stunning scenery were the cherry on top of the cake. We will definitely be back X

We’ve just spent a long weekend in the Honeysuckle cottage at Clydey and had the best time! Such a beautiful setting, lovely staff and so much to do for our 3 children. The daily animal feeding obviously being the favourite activity but there are so many other things to do, even if weather bad. The indoor softplay and game room was a real highlight too! This place absolutely deserves 5 stars, we are definitely coming back!

We stayed here at the beginning of September this year and loved it! Great set up - Farmer Malcom and Farmer Rachel were wonderful and the frozen Cook food to choose from was a brilliant way to make life just that little bit easier with the kiddies. Hope to come back and visit again sometime...!

We stayed at Clydey in September and our 2 year old son loved it so much that once we returned home all he would talk about was Farmer Malcolm and the animals so we booked again. We have just returned home from our second stay and William loved every minute. It is the perfect family chill out.

We spent four days at Clydey with our 18 month old and it was the best holiday we've had as a family. The staff are fabulous. Attention to detail is 100% - they've thought of everything. The facilities are perfect for a toddler and parents. We'd start the day with animal feeding, then pop bub in the car for a nap while we drove out for a walk on the beach and a pub lunch. Then we'd come home for an afternoon nap then play outside or swim in the indoor pool til dinner time. Once our girl was in bed we'd relax in our cottage by the fire. Happy baby, happy mums!

We returned for a second visit with our 3-year-old and this time we had wall to wall sunshine. It's an excellent place, the staff are fantastic and the area is lovely. Last year it rained every day but we still had a great time. Animal feeding, the pool and soft play are highlights, other activities are available and the cottages are very well equipped.

We have just returned home from our first stay in Heather cottage at Clydey. As soon as we arrived I felt emotional at it's awesomeness! The setting is stunning, the range and quality of facilities is incredible, and this was before we had even fed the animals! The daily animal feeding is a great experience for children, and our 18 month old really enjoyed it - by the end of the week he actually said Alpaca! Farmer Malcolm is fantastic, and sooo kind (and patient). The location is great for exploring Permbrokeshire sites such as St Davids, Solva, Cenarth, and the various beaches - although at times it actually seemed a shame to go out. We have a feeling that we might be back!!!

We came to clydey at the end of February this year (I know it’s taken me a while to write this but my toddler keeps me so busy ��) it was literally the best holiday that I have ever had! We managed to make it before the snow hit luckily and I can’t think of a more beautiful place to get snowed in... the staff go above and beyond especially Rachel who was a massive help when our toddler cut his eye open during our stay ringing and arranging a doctors appointment for us! She also did a fantastic job of looking after our son for a couple of hours at the kids club while we where able to go on a woodland walk and in the hot tub for a bit to relax! My son really enjoyed the soft play area and animal feedings which happened despite the snow! We loved foxglove cottage and we didn’t want to leave we will definitely be back again at some point in the future and I literally can’t recommend clydey cottages enough it is just awesome! Thanks to all of your staff who made our stay so brilliant.... see you again!

So coming to the end of a fantastic weekend family break. Jacqui and Dewi at Clydey Cottages have thought of everything, amazingly set up for families with young children. They provide stair gates, cots, high chairs, children's plates and cutlery in the Cottages.

In the swimming pool area there are baby changers, a rocking crib, bouncers, travel cots, a heated pool, noodles (the foam tubes) and even a sauna and hot tub for the adults. There is a soft play with toys and books which our boys adored including very comfy sofas with magazines and complimentary teas and coffees! Perfect to relax for mums and dads!! Every morning the children get to feed all the animals and the farmers are amazing with the children. There is a games room along with dvds to borrow. Full Sky in the cottage, an outdoor park and an enclosed area with tricycles/scooters/tractors to ride safely. There's an onsite shop with basics, a Spa if the parents fancy a treat. At peak times there are children's activities where parents get some well deserved time out. They have thought of everything. Can't wait to return!!! �����

Everything about this holiday was perfect for the whole family. On top of the fantastic facilities everything that we could possibly have needed for the kids was provided - cot, bed guard, changing mats, stair gates, high chair etc. The surrounding area was stunning with loads to do. The animal feeding was a particular highlight and farmers Malcolm and Rachel couldn't have been more wonderful with our little boy. Would highly recommend and I am certain we will be back.

Clydey is without a doubt the best holiday destination to take young kids. Ours are 2 and 3 and they absolutely love seeing the animals in the morning with Farmer Rachel and the soft play and pool are perfect! Can't wait to head down there again.
