Well. What can I say. I visited the other night and apparently some pipes must have broken and water was pouring out of several areas from the ceiling. I mean pouring. From multiple holes and apertures it was peeing down. Whilst buckets had been put down, the staff had decided that closing the place, dealing with the problem, calling a plumber, turning off the water... decided that none of these were viable options.

The manager had decided instead to allow products to be tainted by dirty water to keep the place open. And to sell said products including children's yogurts and dairy.

I complained vehemently but the manager would not come down, instead allowing a poor staff member to put up with my protestations.

Who knows what contaminants are in that water as it travelled through the upper part of the building, from lead to asbestos to copper to dirt.

I insisted they pull the products from sale which was finally done. I don't know if they were put back out after I left.

I'm filing with appropriate health authorities and with coop.

In the meantime ask the manager if anything you buy has been drowned in filthy water.

A well stocked, clean and efficient sore with very friendly staff.
