Coed Weddings And Events Description
Coed is the most amazingly versatile space to create and plan your Wedding Ceremony, event or weekend retreat. Hidden in 180 acres of the Vale of Glamorgan Countryside, it radiates a spiritual and peaceful connection to nature and its environment. You can wander the gardens, meadows and woodlands finding hidden art amongst the trees and plants whilst absorbing the surrounding flora and fauna. Unique little sleeping spaces are dotted around the site allowing you to experience a simplistic overnight stay with the most basic yet romantic and comfortable living space. The event barn is an impressive 1970's hay barn conversion with a huge glass front which takes in views over the landscape and out to the Severn Estuary taking in views of the north Somerset coast on a clear day. The interior of the barn has been hand built using wood an resources from the surrounding landscape. It is based on a circular concept of the wheel of life which is such a warm and inviting space to share with your family, friends and colleagues and makes everyone feel part of the event. We have no closing times during your hire so the event will keep going until the last person is ready to leave. You can book our space for just a day workshop or use the entire space for a Weekend retreat or Wedding ceremony of which we have a full civil ceremony license for our Jacobean style barn and our circular barn, the largest of the barns can accommodate 150 Wedding guests. We also have a new 2 bedroomed Bridal cottage on site which adjoins the ceremony room perfect for a discreet entrance. Coed also has its own on-site caterers happy to provide you with a quote for their services to provide food for your Wedding guest. For workshops and retreats we do have a fully equipped kitchen which can be used for your food needs through the day with a coffee machine on hand for refreshments. The space is heated by a huge log burner and under floor heating which keeps the venue warm in the colder months. Coed is a centre of rural art and our Sculpture garden filled with Zimbabwe sculptures is so peaceful...come visit Coed for a wander around the gardens to see some beautiful art ❤️
This Wedding was one big party that never ended.....not even when the sun rose the following morning. Had such a fantastic weekend at Coed for our wedding. It truly is the most unique and magical place. Everyone was amazing and the service was fantastic! It’s been lovely to meet Sharron, Rawley, Gemma, Mathu and the Coed Team!! We can’t thank you enough. From the moment we stepped into Coed we knew it was us. There really is no other place out there like Coed! We look forward to coming back in the autumn to plant our special tree �� love to you all �
Coed was the most wonderful place to hold our wedding. From the moment we walked into the gardens we knew it was the perfect place for us to get married! A magical experience in the most beautiful location. If you're disillusioned by the wedding 'factory' experience you get in a lot of venues, make sure you visit Coed and prepare to fall in love with the place.
Being able to design every aspect of your own wedding, but still receive the love and support of everyone at the venue, feels like a great privilege. We loved being able to shape our weekend exactly how we wanted it, from timings to food to drinks to decoration. But along the way Sharron and Rawley were there with help and advice to make sure everything ran smoothly. All the staff at Coed are incredibly lovely, and will do anything they can to help with the set-up and ensuring flawless service on the day.
Also a special note not to worry about hiring external caterers. Jon and Dan the Coed in-house team are INCREDIBLE and everyone has been talking about how amazing the food was. Dan even let my niece help him make the pizza dough the night before.
I'm only sad that we can't do it all over again! We're looking forward to coming back to plant our tree, and I'm tempted to never leave...
