User

brilliant place we came here last weekend and did the Minotaur twice! Planning a return trip very soon.

User

Wow what a place! Fantastic walks all brilliantly sign posted. The waterfall and the River were a real treat.

The place is immaculate and well kept. The Cafe is brilliant and the food is excellent. It also allows a dogs which for me was a real bonus!

User

Took our newly riding 5 year old and he had a blast searching for the 'beasts' as he called them along the MinorTour trail. Looking forward to coming back!

User

Our first visit here and thoughly enjoyed our day, we found the staff in the bike shop really helpful and sorted my wife out with a suitable bike for the day. I highly recommend anyone to visit the centre for a great family day out .

User

One word: Superb. We went mountain biking, as a family - gulp! - but with the variety of trails it's got something for every level. I've previously ridden a lot in North California, and thought it was the best I would ever experience. It wasn't - North Wales is. First we all did the new Minotaur blue run - even my 9 year old daughter returned with a huge grin on her face. Then the 'boys' (aged 12, 13 and, er, older) went on a red - great climbing, amazing descending - the highlight for us was a section called 'Uncle Fester'. We also enjoyed lunch at the cafe - and not just the usual offerings - I had an excellent Greek wrap. At the end of the day we were shattered but couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces. I can't think of a better (or more cost effective) way to have fun with the family. It was so good we couldn't resist changing our holiday plans to return the next morning.

User

I ran the trail wales marathon yesterday my 1st ever one.it was Awesome. Amazing views which were stunning, great trails. The cafe breakfast fantastic. Showers were great. Lots of information about the area was great. Very well sign posted. I will be coming back. 🖒

User

I love this place. The Run Coed y Brenin events are well organised, warm and friendly and the run and MTB trails varied and offer something for everyone. The centre cafe offers delicious food. Venison burger is awesome as are the cakes! Hardworking, helpful staff and in general, a great atmosphere.

I have visited Coed y Brenin on numerous occasions, mainly mountain biking on the excellent trails. Today I took my wife Mountain Biking for her first ever trail at the centre - Minotaur (blue). She was very nervous at the prospect (probably because of the horror stories I've been telling her of my escapades over the past year). We hired a Trek Ex 7 hardtail for half a day. She really enjoyedthe experience and wants her own bike now. I must praise the excellent service we received from the bike shop staff, and the cafe staff who have always been very helpful. All in all a brilliant day out. Thank you Coed y Brenin.

User

Great time loved the MTB blue (Minotaur) so much did it twice. Kids loved the green and the play park. Lunch was excellent and quite reasonable considering where we were. Be careful the shops close at 5.00 and if the car park machine is broken as it was for us, there is no way of paying for parking ! Spoke to helpful member of staff who took our details and promised to sort it. Overall a very good day and it was sunny as well.

User

Great mountain bike trails cafe is great a bit slow when busy walking trails are also good fun

User

First time there trails are really good bike shop staff very helpful cafe is decent to love this place now will def be going back

User

First time here today, absolutely fantastic place, well maintained and lots of facilities, I dived straight into "the beast" and thoroughly enjoyed it, nice fast rocky decents which is just what I like. Will definitely be back for another day on the trails. Keep up the good work!

User

Fantastic. It's great that the different trails are seperated, to maximise your enjoyment. The countryside is breathtaking and facilities at the car park are great.

User

Currently on holiday in wales, visited here today and the walks are beautiful! My 2 dogs loved it, I enjoyed taking photos of the wildlife and the lovely views and the tasty tuna sandwich was just the perfect end to our walk haha- if I lived down here I would be a regular visitor! I also love how well the walks are mapped out!

User

Coed y brenin was recommended by a work colleague and it didn't disappoint. Only just started MTB again after injury so thought I'd hit the blue route and it was great much better than my local trail centre. Will deffo be planning more trips this way. Keep up the good work.

User

Been here a few times and more recently did the Antifreeze challenge and had a great time ,great food at the shop and excellent bike shop ,certainly some challenging trails.

User

Awesome trails, excellent bike shop and the hire bikes are good quality and well maintained. We hired top end full sus bikes and were quickly fitted and out on the trails. The bikes were 1x11, climbed well and were very lively on the rocky downhill singletrack. Staff very friendly and helped with local tips for types of trails we were interested in and some shortcuts. Lots of climbing and well marked posts for ascent and descents. Take maps to find the links between posts and trails.

The skills area and pump track are one of the best we’ve seen in the UK! Trails are mostly through gorgeous woodland with some open sections where coniferous trees have been harvested. Can’t wait to go back with our own bikes and spend a whole weekend exploring rather than a single day!

User

Awesome location with something for everyone. Great for out door activities for adults and kids. Walks, Treks and Cycle routes to suit all abilities.

The parking is cheap and well organised (£5 for whole day) and the food at the visitor centre is not too bad either with a lot of choice available.
