Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is a successful therapy which teaches clients methods of intervention to avoid or block unwanted and negative thoughts which lead to unwanted behaviours and actions.
The consultations last one hour and leave the client with processes to practise at home so they become second nature.
The next consultation then builds on that so that at the end of the course of therapy the client is able to block the thoughts which lead to anxiety conditions etc.
The length of treatment is usually about 10 hours with a review after 5 sessions.
it is particularly useful in teaching clients who are returning to the workplace, changing jobs after redundancy or starting up businesses methods of increasing their own self esteem so they are able to deal with interviews , meetings etc.
The consultations are informal and relaxed, with a cafe available both before and after the consultation and free parking.
