Fantastic weekend away for Andrew and George from Victoria House who were supported for a weekend away in Llangollen North Wales to celebrate Georges 47th Birthday. They walked over the highest Aqueduct in Europe, went on a horse drawn canal boat trip, hiked the Watkin Path the second hardest route to summit Snowdon the highest mountain in Wales and went for a gentle stroll around horse shoe falls.

On October the 12th the weavers from Victoria House visited the Biennial Exhibition of the Welsh Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers held at the Minerva Arts Centre in Llanidloes. They were invited to mount an exhibition of their work which was on display alongside the exhibits of all the Guilds in Wales. Our work was much admired by many weavers from all over the country. Victoria Weavery was presented with a donation of approximately £300 from the proceeds of the refreshment sales on the day. Well done to you all!

This year some Victoria House residents have joined an art installation project in Swansea that will be made with ecobricks in order to raise awareness of plastic consumption and its impact on the planet. In the future the ecobricks will be used to build benches outside the Waterfront museum. Follow the link for more information on this fantastic project...

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board will be at the “Big Bite” event in Pontypridd this weekend 3rd and 4th August, where they will have a wellbeing stand . There will be over 30 information stalls in the Wellbeing Zone at this year's Big Welsh Bite, all promoting health and wellbeing.
