Kids will love the rides and arcades. Fireworks on Tuesday nights in the Summer. Local parking and plenty of cafes. The adjacent children's play park and beach make for a good day out.
Typical good and, bad experience that comes with a tourist orientated area. The beach is wonderful. Lovely fine sand which was clean and great for kids. You could easily spend a day here. The amusement park is shabby, overpriced and staff appear bored and uninterested. Avoid the trampoline on the beach, (there is virtually no bounce), and the donkey/pony rides are a great idea,(animals look healthy), but only last about 2 minutes. I recommend taking a picnic, cool box of drinks, a bucket and spade and enjoy the beach.
Had a lovely day took the family and the dogs only went to Newton beach. Only gripe I've got is the lack of public toilets so we had to cut our day a little short but other than that had a fabulous day. This is a review of Newton beach. Over Coney Beach there are good facilities fair ground and amusements to entertain the kids and again dog friendly around the ride areas. All in all was a great day and would highly recommend a ice cream from scoops located just outside the fair ground.
Very touristy. Lots of people on a nice day. Arcades, rides, shops, donkeys, ice cream (they have sub zero ice cream which is local and excellent) fish and chips etc. Slightly sheltered so its good for young children or not very confident swimmers to swim here. I prefer Rest Bay a little way around the coast to the west as it's bigger and the waves are nicer for fun swimming, body boarding and surfing.
Lovely Sandy beach. Really nice on a summer day. Can be very windy and cold sometimes. Safe beach with life guards on duty. Kids friendly. Lots of fun rides. Donkey and Horse rides are available on the beach which are my favorite. Fun fare rides are closeby. However a shower facility and a toilets can be useful to have closer to the beach.
Lovely day out with fair right next to the beach, just be careful your not overcharged on the sweet/candyfloss shop.
Spent a few summers down here as a child and always enjoyed the fair, rides are between £1 - £3.50 per person. Make sure you have change as not many ride operators will have change for £10/£20 notes.
Plenty or rides for young children as well as teens and we enjoyed every minute, a great family day out.
