Since its inception in 1992 the Construction Skills Training Centre or CSTC as it is more widely known has become the first port of call for those seeking a viable career in the construction and associated industries. The centre which was originally based on a similar and very successful operation in Canada now has over 5000 graduates from it various training courses in WA each year and more than 6000 businesses regularly use their training programs. The CSTC offers over 45 courses.

Set on over 10, 000 square metres in Welshpool the centre boats 10 classrooms to conduct theory based courses as well as modern equipped yard space. It is one of the few training centres in Australia to have a giant Potain tower crane on site.

This is not a ‘pretend training centre’. When you participate in a course you can expect to be trained using the best equipment that is used out there on the actual job and be trained by professionals who have had real world experience. This is what sets the CSTC apart and the reason why the CSTC is considered an industry leader in construction training.

Apart from practical applications, the CSTC also provides theoretical as well as safety awareness and safety training related to many of its courses.

What surprises most people are the CSTC’s completive costs for courses. It costs no more to be trained at the CSTC, in fact many courses are a lower prices than a lot of other training centers.

The centre is also arguably the leading educator and provider of ‘White Cards’ for construction industry safety awareness in WA.
