A great place to relax, crabbing, and Good food, Great in Fish & Chips !

Conwy station is right next door to the town centre. So very convenient for the shops, coffee shops, pubs and beautiful places to visit in Conwy, itself. These include the Castle and the Quay.

Having moved to Conwy from Southampton, I was used to trains automatically stopping at every station. So needed to adjust to Conwy being a request stop. But that is a small adjustment to getting into the habit of telling the guard I want to get off at Conwy. And if I want a train from Conwy, to signal the driver of that, by holding my hand out, as the train approaches the station. Like stopping a bus, at a bus stop.

Conwy Railway Station is brilliantly positioned for visiting Conwy as it's within a five minute walk of pretty much attraction and shop Conwy has to offer. The problem is that not many trains stop there and many that do stop only do so on request. Depending on when you're travelling it can sometimes be quicker to walk across the bridge to Llandudno Junction and catch a train from there than it would be to wait at Conwy for a train that actually stops.
