Conwy Valley Railway Shop And Museum

Children loved it. Food was good. Price reasonable all round.

What a great little place for young children. We had an excellent time here with our 20 month old son and really enjoyed the railway carriage cafe there too. Much less crowded and better priced that anywhere else in the village.

Not overly brilliant but entry is cheap and it is worthwhile to pop in and see the 1/4 scale 'Britannia' live steam loco. There are quite a few electric model trains that are button operated and are a bit of fun with some of the layouts being quite large. There is a ride on garden railway that runs a fair way round the grounds. It is most often hauled by a diesel although a steam train does the trips sometimes; probably on weekends at the height of summer.

Brilliant place to visit. Kids will love it. Plenty for them to do. The train lasts 10 minutes and is worth every penny. We always come here as my daughter is obsessed with trains. The staff know us well so always get a welcome from them.

Good couple of hours for young kids train ride is cheap and good value for money the museum behind the gift shop is a bit tired and dated but my kids loved pressing the buttons to operate the miniature trains in there (they are 5 and 3) so we where in there for about an hour and they had good time and it was only £1.50 to get in they enjoyed the bumper cars outside to aswell (50p) and the little Thomas train on the track they could operate themselves that was a £1 a go but worth it then it was over the bridge to explore the surrounding areas

A must see visit for any modelling enthusiast. Always interesting to browse.

It's like going back in time when you go in the shop, nice shop

The little steam train that goes around the grounds is good and fair value. The shop and model railway exhibition is old and tired. I can appreciate they are a lot of work to do up and maintain but I've seen an excellent one at the back of a toy shop in Bourton on the Water and that was excellent. This is dull (for a non train person) to enjoy.

The museum is great and the model layouts are breath taking!
The trains are also great fun for adults and kids alike!
