Would advise anyone to go here they took us in when we where stranded and kept us company and kept us warm proper impressed the amount they helped us in the snow last night and am hoping to one day go back and meet them in different circumstances thanks a lot guys you helped us more than you could ever imagine and I hope it's cleared up your end and everyone is safe

Went for lunch with the Easter Bunny - who was absolutely amazing with the children as were all the staff there - brilliant event

Went Sunday for afternoon tea, the staff were amazing very polite and helpful. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely and they made sure of any dietary requirements when first serving you. Overall felt very valued by the members of staff and nothing too much trouble for them they made sure we were ok and was asked twice if we needed anymore tea/coffee. Price was good for afternoon tea but real shining star was the excellent service.

Well what can one say. Read reviews on this hotel and was little concerned going there. But from the time I booked to the time I left the staff was very helpful and polite and that included over the phone conversations. Even read bad reviews on the deco. The deco was very unique and dated to 1920 style. So much detail of woodwork it was very fascinating. And as for the room it was spacious and cosey,the shower and bath give out the right temperature of water and plenty of supply of towels. As for the king size bed it was like sleeping on fresh air. Best sleep for away stay for me. Evening meal was delicious and as for breakfast buffet, so much choice and very tasty. Used the jacuzzi and swimming pool facilities. Can’t fault any of it. If I could give out more than 5stars I would. All round lovely chillaxing stay and would most definitely go back soon.

We stayed here for a wedding a couple of months ago...we loved it.

The hotel was really lovely and well kept, rooms where big and lovely and clean.

The rooms also had everything you needed including a fan as it was a hot weekend.

The beds were very comfortable (and we can be picky).

The restraunt food was lovely... breakfast was amazing and well worth booking with the room.

There is other places to eat close by if you wish.

We used the sauna and jacuzzi which was a lovely relaxing perk.

We would recommend this hotel.

We arrived here after the Wales v Scotland game. Staff were amazing from the word go. Then they figured out that we got engaged at the stadium after the game. The lovely receptionist (can't remember her name) upgraded our room to a suit & gave us free champagne! Thank you SO much for making our stay extra special after an amazing, emotional totally unexpected day ��. Xxxxxxxx

Stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting family. Booked a double room with an extra bed for my son, which when booking was told would cost 15 pound. On check in I was informed it would be 15 per night so in addition to original price I had to pay an extra 45 so my son had a bed. The double bed I was expecting was in fact two singles!! (Plus sons bed) didn't mind too much at least we could all sleep. Room was nice but basic. Sink tap in bathroom was broken although reception staff had this rectified quickly. Bath was very discoloured but over all bathroom and room were very clean. Hotel itself was lovely and quiet. Dated and could do with some modernising. But overall we had an enjoyable stay at the copthorne. Would definitely visit again.

Staff very helpful and pleasant highly recommend this hotel to families and couples. 👍great food good atmosphere

Our Company held training from Monday-Friday in the downstairs conference facilities. The Hotel was excellent. The Events Team, especially David, who was our point of contact throughout the week, was more than helpful. The food was also outstanding every night. The rooms were of a very high standard, and the pool and leisure facilities were a great extra.

Once again another truly amazing experience staying here last night, price is amazing, room was lovely and clean, beds are so comfy.!! loved the pool and jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and how the aqua aerobics instructor got me n my partner to join in ��

Lovely hotel, enjoyed the night away looking to book again next week but don't want to be on second floor as could heard people outside late in the night

Just returned from 2 night stay. ..really enjoy our stay in studio room. Found a letter apologising for scaffolding outside our window and completely understand that work is ongoing. .will look forward to seeing the work progress. Bed was so comfortable breakfast was fabulous. .staff very polite welcoming and helpful. .will definitely return... Ben brush up on ur bar skills( private joke )��. Look forward to staying in the new year top marks everyone x

Had the most amazing afternoon tea. The staff were friendly and attentive (especially the Manager Alun). The table was beautifully laid out and the view was lovely. The staff checked if we had food allergies and adjusted our afternoon tea accordingly. The food was fresh, looked beautiful and tasted amazing. The processco was lovely, as were our teas/cappuccinos. A wonderful treat, which we will definately repeat. Thoroughly recommend.

Brought my hubby yesterday for his 50th birthday.from the start we were welcomed.nothing too much trouble. The food was fabulous and the whole experience was great. Would definitely return.

Over the years we have stayed here quite often, although we feel it is way overdue for a refurbishment, the rooms although comfortable are old fashioned and very tired.

The staff, as always are very helpful and pleasant, all of this reflexes the price you pay so I guess you get what you pay for.

I was there Saturday evening with 2 friends for a tribute act to Michael buble. The act was super but the hotel was not so!! We had reserved our tickets to include 3 course meal , my friend phoned several times to confirm, then paid up on the night . When we went to take our table , there was nowhere for us to sit!! We were told to sit at a little coffee table whilst staff quickly erected another table for us. We had no menu on table unlike other people and when the soup came , had no spoons oh and no napkins either !!! When my friend mentioned the shoddy service one waiter tried to laugh it off but was told it was no joke , had spoilt our night and at least we should be offered a free drink. We, plus two others at our table who happened to be the parents of the performer were then offered drinks of our choice , which were happy to accept. All in all a bit like faulty towers with the hotel , but we did have a fantastic night as James Williams did us proud

Had my wedding here on 29th April 2017 and was very disappointed by the bridal suite. I had booked months in advance and was told by members of staff that room 330 was best suite, so booked that and was confirmed on numerous occassions that was the room I was having. On booking I ask for the keys for that room and told I was in room 430, I said no and manager said room 330 was in mess from previous guest and 430 was better. Well can't say I agree, having booked an adjoining room for my daughter ,the room had no internet connection, no mirror over main table where bride having Hair and makeup done, only one main light in all of room and was very dark and phone did not work. The only redeeming feature of the room was the extremely comfortable bed. Therefore from a brides point of view the room was a massive let down. The manager was very good in the running of my event and the day went smoothly and the staff were friendly. So would I book it there again for a wedding? if the rooms are the same as now, I would not recommend booking the Copthorne, it is very dated which is a shame because could be very nice.

We paid £240 for one double room for one night to go to the Coldplay concert.

Was utterly shocked at the price!!

Room was very shabby , whole hotel need a refurbish, beds uncomfortable , bath discoloured ..

We checked in to be told breakfast wasn't included!

On checking out this morning we asked , how much to stay again tonight , was told with a smile £90 madam and that includes breakfast! !!!

Your off our list Copthorn Cardiff! We won't be staying again. Not nice to feel you have been ripped off by such a high profile chain!
