Corris Steam Railway Museum
Reviews
Nice little railway, including a small history talk by a chap in period costume.
A Great little hidden gem! Well worth a visit.
Well run railway station museum lots of interesting related things to see and buy
We had never ridden on the Corris railway before, but would certainly do so again with the grandchildren Age 2 and 4. The ride from Corris is quite short. On arrival at Maespoeth station you disembark and have a talk about the history of the Corris railway and a look at the engine shed. Back onto the train to Corris.
All the staff were friendly enthusiastic volunteers, delighted to share their knowledge or simply chat to us. The shop has a FREE push button working model of the railway which kept the kids occupied while we enjoyed our refreshments. The cafe had really lovely home made cake to go with a nice cuppa.
An inexpensive outing made more special by the welcome and enthusiasm of all the staff.
Very small but nice steam railway museum. Operates short steam railway on weekends. Nice place to explore heritage steam railways.
Weekends only, but a delightful volunteer-run railway experience. Genuine people and a lovely train run to the workshops and back.
