Costa Coffee

Generic chain coffee shop. Service is excellent and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Vee always offers to bring my drink over if I'd like to take a seat which is much appreciated. Called in again today and another young girl also brought my drink over for me.

Great bacon but tie and coffee handed with a smile. Just the job on a grey wet day.

Generally staff are super nice and always helpful especially as like my coffees a bit different - dry cappucinos - they never treat me like I am being fussy. Coffee is great like other outlets, but the lower score is for cleanliness and unwillingness to open the upstairs regularly purely due to having to clean it and the toilets upstairs. Too much traffic is therefore directed to the one loo on ground floor which is just awful by end of day. Seats get grubby quickly and splashed milk on adverts by customers is a regular site as are empty shelves for toasties and sandwiches. Last issue is it shuts early realtice to other codfee chains so I simply go elsewhere when I would prefer coffee beans from costa.

On our visit staff more concerned with their own conversations and noisy banter when there were many tables to be cleared.
Maybe the manager was out for lunch?

Lovely staff, nice and clean and great drinks and snacks. Especially the new warm scone with clotted cream and jam mmmmmm

Consistant, welcoming, friendly staff. it is a bit expensive though.

I came in to Costa because my drink from Cafe Nero sucked. When the manager saw me emptying out a full drink, she asked me what had happened. When I told her, she gave me a replacement drink -- even though it was a different store and chain that I bought it from -- because "there's nothing worse than paying for a drink that you hate". I'm DEFINITELY coming back.

Costa has become a refuge for me, which is made all the better by having such great staff.
