We make a big effort for our planet here at Cotts. We recycle paper, cardboard, wipes, plastic, newspapers, magazines, anything recyclable. We also reuse wherever possible, envelopes, shipping boxes, packing, plastic bags, any plastic that is not made hazardous by use. One area we could improve is the faecal egg count samples, many are sent in plastic bags that are not recyclable and certainly not reusable 🤭 Please comment below with any eco friendly suggestions for what sort of containers/bags the samples could be sent in we are all ears 👂🌍

Due to the recent confirmed outbreak of Equine Influenza in the Swansea area we would like to invite all of our clients and friends to come and join us for an informative client evening at Cotts on Monday night at 7pm to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have. Refreshments will be available!

Just a quick reminder that we do require 24 hours notice for repeat prescriptions as all medication needs to be signed off and prepared by a vet. Also remember the Bank Holiday weekend is approaching so if you need to order more medication please call either today or tomorrow as we are closed on Monday. Thank you!

Are your horse's vaccinations up to date? The BHA highly recommend that if your horse has not had a vaccination within the last six months they should receive a booster vaccination due to the recent outbreak of Equine Influenza in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France & Belgium. With snow forecast for this afternoon and cold weather remaining you need to keep an eye on your equine friends...horses will find uneven ground uncomfortable when it becomes hard and frosty. Make sure there is always access to luke warm water as horses don't drink cold water. Put a water bottle in the buckets to stop them freezing over. Apply a teaspoon of table salt in their feeds to encourage them to drink more. Rug them up well, especially if they have been clipped!
In the comments below post a picture of your animals in the snow, we would love to see them🐶🐱🐴🦊
