At Countrywide Hearing we make sure our all our clients have the option of FREE home visits for their after care.
Other companies often charge for this, but we give peace of mind to people who may find it more difficult to get out and about and allows you to get on with more worthwhile things.

HEARING AID USERS BEWARE! A new hearing aid scam has been reported :(
One of our local audiology partners in Wales reported that a customer of theirs was called by an unknown company last week, asking that she pay for a check up appointment on her hearing aids by card over the phone. Luckily for this lady she remembered that our partner Audiologist DOES NOT charge for check up appointments, and therefore put the phone down!!
... Countrywide Hearing hand pick their Audiologists to ensure customer care, and the aftercare we provide via our network of Audiologists is FREE for the lifetime of the hearing systems, which includes regular 6 month check ups.
Please share this post to SPREAD THE WORD to your family members - we don't believe this scam is isolated to Wales so its important everyone is aware!

For those of us with children or grandchildren this new research may not come as a surprise!
But the hearing health of our teachers and pupils is becoming a more serious issue as the classroom environment changes.

This is fascinating - and also alarming for those of us who have enjoyed many a concert and gig in our time!
Subtle brain changes can be prompted by even minor hearing loss in young people.
Getting your hearing checked and sorted doesn't only improve your quality of life but reduces your risk of dementia.

Its Deaf Awareness Week and at Countrywide Hearing we would like to share these great tips from the UK Council on Deafness on how to include deaf and people with hearing loss in conversation:
- Face the person you are speaking to - Speak clearly without shouting - Repeat yourself if necessary... - NEVER say 'It doesn't matter' - If the person doesn't understand you, don't give up! - Write it down or draw a picture - Speak one at a time - Keep your mouth visible - Smile and relax! - Don't speak too quickly or slowly
