Lack communication amongst themselves, don't often stick to procedures, monopolise on the lack of knowledge and experience that students have with using a letting agency

The worst agency that I've seen in my life. I'm a french student that came for the first time in cardiff and only for two month.
My friend and I went for the first time in Cardiff we didn't know about cps we have seen an ad of rooms it looked good and because we hadn't time to look for an other room so we decided to take it. First they wanted the deposit before our names after that because it was our first time and we were from aboard they tell us in plus to pay the two month directly. We hadn't the money they give us just 2 day to make us live the hell after that they didn't even help us to find the house we take 2h to make two street because we didn't speak English very well.after 2h we find it when we come in the smell was horrible some of the tools of the kitchen were broken we hadn't place in the fridge because they take all of it in the room under the bed it was so dirty and the bed too the wall of my friend room was so dirty after those two month we had to live in hell for the last day we were the last with my friend to go and all of the flat let their trash we had to clean it to them to have our deposit we cannot fish it because they was so many thing they were 7 and we were two to clean it the women who came to contol it tell us because we cleaned it alone and we were her for only two month that they are not going to take that much because all of the thing that was broken were like that when we first came and know that we came back to France they tell us that they are going to take the half of our deposit because they think that we have broken the think who where in the house whereas it was like that because the students were here for a year. So know all the students have their normal deposit but we have the half of it.
It was really surprising I didn't know that cps was thief so I don't recomende it even more for student from aboard. They laught of you. Never going to come back in this agency. If my friend want to study in cardiff in the future I won't recommend cps because I don't want them to live like I've lived.

I've had a good time with these guys each time I've been with them.
Repairs have been sorted as and when required and they were always very helpful getting in contact with me when they needed the view any place I've been in.

I'm with CPS for the 2nd year atm as last year they seemed to be ok, but that's probably because we didn't have to contact them at all as the house was fine. This year we've started to have multiple problems with a leak in our flat and we've experienced very poor service from CPS so far. Not only it's been 4 weeks already since we've contacted CPS about the issue and very little has been done but every time we contact them, either emails or phone calls, they deliberately avoid answering any of our questions about the whole situation and reply in a very patronising way. Every time we call or write an email we get a different excuse and we still didn't get any answers. More than 3 times already the staff on the phone hung up on me saying that they are busy or need to double check something and will call me back in an hour and they never did. My flatmate is unable to live in her room atm due to the leakage that made the carpet underlay and the bottom of her furniture get rotten. On top of that, the agency insists that they were not aware of any pest problems in the flat despite the fact that few days after we moved in we've had a tiny mouse visitor in our kitchen and we've found old mouse and rat traps and baits hidden under the cupboards all over our flat. Yes, the staff was friendly and helpful when we were signing the contract but it seems that as soon as something goes wrong they just simply don't care. What a shame.

Really helpful and catered to all our needs, got us a right bargain on a lovely house as well!!

I've rented from them twice now and both times have been incredibly impressed by the level of professionalism and support they posses. Would recommend to anyone looking to move in Cardiff
