Crafts Alive

Crafts Alive is a co-operative of Designers and Makers living and working in West Wales. Our shop is set in the Carmarthenshire town of Llandeilo.

There are lots of craft shops in Wales selling ‘Welsh’ gifts. But look on the bottom of your authentic Welsh souvenir and you might be surprised to discover that the Welsh dragon in your hand has flown all the way from China. Of course they do have dragons in China and very handsome they are too, but they are not Welsh dragons. If you want a genuine keepsake from Wales made by a local crafts person then you couldn’t do much better than visit Crafts Alive in Llandeilo. Everything in the shop is made in Wales and the majority is made by Artists and crafts people living within 30 miles of the town. Crafts Alive is a non-profit making co-operative with over 40 members who take it in turn to run the shop. This way they keep their overheads to a minimum and their prices as low as possible. Buying from Crafts Alive you are contributing to the local economy, supporting local artists and craftspeople and helping us to keep Welsh Crafts - Alive!
