Congratulations to our newly appointed Head Boy and Head Girl; Kit Arnold and Ellie Clements. We are also delighted to welcome James Ryan, Ethan Hatton Lewis, Hannah Jones and Maia Gould as deputies. We know that you will be outstanding ambassadors for our school.

The sun ☀ came out for the students and staff yesterday for a very successful #CrickFest. Activities included learning rugby skills 🏉 with Cardiff Blues, juggling 🤹‍♀️ skills with circus performers, Investigating a crime scene with the Police 👮‍♂️, Becoming a Fireman/woman 👩‍🚒, as well as tackling an assault course with the Army, and skate 🛹 skills on the skate ramp. There were many food 🍕 & Drink stalls and live 🎤 music throughout. 🎵
Many thanks to all the staff and organisations involved in making this such a huge success! 🙌

Yesterday evening was a time spent to celebrate the amazing talent of our young sports men and women at our annual Sports Awards. We were honoured to have Gareth Davies to present the awards and as our Guest Speaker. ⚽ Congratulations to all those who received awards! 🎖

Year 12 students were treated to two exciting trips to universities.
University Of South Wales Treforest Campus was the first stay where students learned how to write Personal Statements, complete UCAS applications and also had an opportunity to look around the Campus. Such a useful and enjoyable visit, in preparation for future destinations!
Our overnight trip to Aberystwyth University was highly successful and enjoyable! We were totally spoilt, with a jam packed itinerary ...including Welsh Bac Individual Project and History workshops, a visit to the National Library of Wales (including a look around the vaults), a look around the town and beach, evening entertainment and accommodation in the newest (with en suite bathrooms and very plush decor) student halls.
We are so grateful for the support received and look forward to continuing our excellent links with these universities and others! Students learn and experience so much from these activities and the feedback has been very positive from students and staff!
Year 12 were a credit to themselves, the school and their families and we thoroughly enjoyed their company!

Students got to take part in a workshop at Danceworks London last week where they learned choreography for ‘dancing through life’ and learned ‘what is this feeling’ from the Musical Wicked.

A 3-day specialised basketball training camp designed to educate, develop and sharpen key basketball skills.
Mon 5th - Weds 7th August, Crickhowell Community Sports Centre.
£12 per day / £30 exclusive 3 day clinic training
... A maximum of 35 players can only be registered to train per day therefore its on a first come first serve basis.
