Ruth Thomas is the proprietor of CRT Training, a training company that has been established since 2005.
The training we provide reflects all levels of responsibility (from basic to advanced levels) in Food Safety, First Aid, Nutrition, Health & Safety and Manual Handling,
The courses are run either through the Awarding body the CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) or can be tailor made to suit an individual company’s requirements.

Courses can be run ‘in house’ or candidates can attend regular ‘open’ courses
The aim of CRT Training is to promote & improve standards by offering the latest information with regards to legislation and best practise.
CRT Training was started initially to provide training to those involved in the catering & hospitality industry, but now offers training to the Care and voluntary sectors.
(Such as Charity organisations, Community and youth groups, Churches, Local authority initiatives such as - Healthy living network etc)

Ruth is trained as a Personnel Manager and has experience of delivering training to large numbers of staff within a retail setting. She holds a teaching certificate and is an NVQ assessor







CIEH Level 2 Award in Food safety
We all expect that any food we buy, whether fresh ingredients, groceries, snacks or meals, will be safe and wholesome. We don't expect it to be contaminated, poorly cooked or badly handled in a way that threatens our health or the health of others. Everyone involved in food production and delivery, from manufacturers and retailers to caterers, has a moral and legal duty to know the principles and practices of food safety.
This qualification is designed for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled
