Axa instructed these cowboys to phone and turn up next day.
Didn't turn up and then denied that they had a job referral!
Reading so many bad reviews we complained to AXA and asked for another more competent, professional company to turn up. Hopefully Axa will take them off their list!

Booked CS Boxall for repair. They were referred (not recommended) by my home emergency insurance company.
They may be good in their work but terrible woman at the reception. I had to call 4 times to find out if their engineer is going to come to deal with an emergency. She was just so dismissive first up, blunt and dont seem to care. On the fourth time of ringing on the same day she says I will have to pay a huge excess charge for a part available on the internet for just £150. Shes quoting £300 and labour. Not sure if they use gold plated tools!
But what gets me I had to call four times and she never mentioned anything about excess and she gives a rude and blunt language service for free too. Good luck to this company.

You make arrangements and they don't turn up! Twice!

Our boiler broke on the coldest Sunday of the year so far. We contacted our insurance company and CS Boxall visited to assess the work and we were told that the parts would be ordered and the boiler would be repaired on the Tuesday. After chasing up with the insurance company and CS Boxall, the work was finally authorised on the Tuesday. Again in spite of chasing this up on multiple occasions we didn't see an engineer until Saturday!!! This engineer proceeded to rewire the boiler and caused a leak and blew the fan. He repaired the leak and left without fixing the boiler. After this visit our electricity tripped continuously. We received our next visit on Monday and were told that the Boiler had been rewired incorrectly and more parts were required!!! It is now 9 days since the boiler broke and it still hasn't been repaired. Engineers don't turn up when they promise. They don't return our calls and their incompetence has caused us more problems than we initially had!!!! Don't use this company - you have been warned!!!!

The most terrible customer service *of all time*. Booked CS Boxall to service the boiler and tend to a repair. I was told that they would come out at the end of the week, but was not given a time (I was told that the engineer would call me on the morning of the allotted day to give me a rough time of arrival). Long story cut short - the engineer didn't call and didn't turn up. After waiting in all day and chasing CS Boxall repeatedly via the telephone, the engineer called me to rearrange for another day (he'd had a busy day, it was the end of the week, he essentially couldn't be bothered). When I said that the repair needed doing urgently - we had been without heating for 24 hours, and didn't want to be left without heating all weekend in the coldest spell of the year yet - he very, very begrudgingly agreed to come out to us. He then stayed for 15 minutes, bashing the heck out of the boiler. My husband then caught him trying to sneak out without speaking to us/giving us an update. When pressed he admitted that the boiler wasn't fixed, but that he had applied a temporary fix which "might" last the weekend, and that he'd come back another day and deal with it. Later that night, I noticed one of the pipes coming from the boiler was leaking water onto the floor (this was not happening pre-temporary fix) and the boiler was making a terrible rattling noise. The temporary fix did not last all weekend, unsurprisingly.

Their telephone customer service leaves *a lot* to be desired - it swings between rude and defensive, and completely disinterested. After speaking to the same person many times on the day the boiler was supposed to be repaired (three days ago), I called just now for an update on the situation and was spoken to as though they had never, ever heard of me before....

This is not the first time they've let us down either - last year they failed to turn up to fix the boiler (the engineer "got lost" on the way to our house, and turned up three days later). Stupidly I gave them a second chance. Huge mistake!
