Csh Thermal Imaging Description

I am a Thermal imaging specialist with over 25 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing, I am included on the UKTA (UK Thermography Authority) approved Thermographer list. I am offering domestic, Industrial and Commercial Thermographic surveys throughout the UK.

I offer a Thermal imaging service to help homes and commercial properties monitor their thermal performance in the following areas:

Full inspection of Internal and External areas are performed to identify areas of excessive energy loss, therefore helping improve efficiency, Help Reduce energy bills, Identify Heat Loss through Drafts from Roofs, Windows, Brickwork, Plaster boards, Doors, Chimney and Damaged or Inadequate Seals.

Missing, Damaged and Discontinued insulation. Insulation issues can cause Thermal Bridging; Mold Growth, Damp, Condensation, Trapped Moisture & Water ingress which can cause create health issues, as mold will release spores that can be taken into the human body.

Roof Survey. Reducing heat loss through the roof and reducing water leaks through the roof.

Buildings over a period of time are subject to movement and degradation of materials which can result in thermal anomalies.

Fire avoidance: Overheated electrical connections and overloaded circuits & components can start fires Thermal imaging surveys will identify poor or loose connections which can arc, get extremely hot, melt cable insulation and cause electrical fires.

Some of these issues can eventually lead to structural problems, which will reduce the value of properties.

The survey will let home owners know exactly where problem areas are, that way saving time and money on tradespeople such as builders, plumbers and electricians enter the property for remedial work; as the survey report will identify where the problem areas are.

The survey I can offer you is fast, reliable and accurate. Surveys are non-intrusive, and will not affect the operation of the business or home life.

I have performed surveys all over South Wales as well as working on local County Council projects and international manufacturers around Wales and the West.

Please take look at my website, it explains and illustrates the issues that can be detected using Thermal imaging. I also provide thermography surveys to industry; helping locate faulty machine components to reduce unscheduled downtime, improve reliability and increase fire avoidance and safety.

Fixed wiring inspections does not include infrared thermal imaging, which checks the wiring under load, instantly highlighting any problems such as loose/high resistance connections and imbalanced loads which could lead to potential failure and fire. Infrared is a great tool for being able to see what exactly is going on under the skin, unlike x-ray soft tissue conditions can be monitored. No contact, so no harm or additional stress is put on the horse.

Big thank you to Marcus at the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff for asking us to perform a thermal imaging survey today on their distribution boards and control panels at the arena. Every public building should have a thermal imaging survey in line with their wiring inspection, as thermal imaging is not performed at any stage. See you again πŸ‘

The following were picked up during a recent thermal imaging survey; they show loose cables burning, which could cause a catastrophic failure of the equipment, in this case, an Β£80k production wash and a lighting system. One image shows a 415v isolator the cable connection was so hot, its melting the plastic around the contact!! Could your business survive if you had a panel fire? πŸ”₯

Clandon Park fire - Report says electrical distribution board fault... A fire that reduced the 18th century Clandon park mansion was started accidentally and probably caused by a fault in an electrical distribution board, a report has said.
Thousands of items were feared lost in the fire on April 29th at the Grade-1 listed stately home near Guildford, Surrey.
... A Surrey fire and rescue (FRS) report said the most likely cause was "a resistance heating fault on a neutral bar in the electrical distribution board" in a basement cupboard.
It said "This electrical connection would have repeatedly overheated, when subject to sufficient electrical load, ever since the distribution board was fitted".
There is a big chance that a thermal imaging survey would of picked up this issue, whilst the electrical system is under load, a resistance heating fault can be defined in as much as whenever an electrical current flows through a material that has some resistance, it creates heat, in extreme cases, unfortunately like this accident resistive heating can literally melt the cables.
