We have always used Currys for our electrical needs, and in past year our needs have been greater than normal Fridge Freezer combie, Electric Oven, Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer, Dyson Stick vac. All of these appliances have been bought with special discount sales as required.

Service and Sales Staff excellent delivery brilliant, all in all we cannot fault Currys other than our Bank balance shed a few tears. Would recommend highly for service and competitive prices.

User

My F itbit broke, took it back to Currys Cwmbran, Gwent yesterday, they didn't have any in stock but managed to get me one today , fantastic service

User

Huge thanks to the people at the desk this weekend, foolishly had nothing backed up when my computer failed to boot. I was a woman on the edge of tears and they went over and above to help recover my data and precious pictures from the hard drive! Data recovered. One happy lady. No box of tissues necessary. X

User

Fantastic service from both Alex the manager and Joe customer services. I was in there for an hour and ten minutes but this was not down to them. They were let down by customer services who kept Joe waiting in the phone for 22 minutes and then tried to question the manager. The manager clearly frustrated by them as well remained professional and loyal throughout and still solved my issue. Currys you should give him a pay rise or a bigger shop!

User

Received a great, fast repair, tumble dryer gave up the ghost it was repaired the day after I reported it. Service was excellent. I must admit though, to get through on the phone is a bit long winded but as I say, once I did get through, service was quick and efficient.

User

Worst store I have ever been in, the staff couldnt care less about helping, to busy stood around talking with each other every time i tried to purchase they kept running off and spoke to me in a very rude manner, you have lost a sale i will never ever return to your store again you have put me off shopping with Currys Pc world ever again, plenty of other places to go, i really hope you run out of business

User

Went to collect an item ordered on line for ease but after going to the click and collect area I was sent to the laptop area and 'someone will be with you now'. 20 mins later I gave up and took an empty box with 'take me to the till to purchase on it'. Was told they are to busy to help me at the moment but I'd passed staff just stood around chatting. Never going there again,I'd rather go the extra miles and go to Merthyr as they were helpfull

Went in to buy a tv and left without one. The sales assistant argued with me that much about me needing their 29.99 hdmi cable and their over priced insurance. I tried saying I have home insurance and he told me his was better. I told him I had a hdmi cable but apparently theirs is better. After telling him loads of times I just wanted a tv, I gave up and said il just leave the TV. His reply.. OK. Disgusting service. Won't let u buy their products unless u buy all the extras. Il stick with argos!!!

User

Very poor experience today. Visited to buy a compact digital camera, having already done online research, I wanted to choose and buy in store. Very helpful staff member, Elliott, who was extremely apologetic as none of the cameras were operational. With online shopping being so accessible stores need to go the extra distance to make it worth visiting. Today was a waste of a trip, as was last time when I wanted to buy a vacuum cleaner only to be talked into one that wasn’t available.

User

Poor doesn't even come close!

Google, Which Paying £35 for a laptop service you didn’t ask for? to see numerous of similar experiences to mine.

I would happily pay extra for an item from another store than deal with the disgusting behaviour from equally disgusting sales people.

I was scaremongered, talked down to and in my opinion, lied to when trying to buy a laptop, from both cwmbran and newport stores.

Laughed at and threatened with the police when I demanded a refund. PC world- you should be ashamed.

If you have had similar experiences, please contact trading standards to let them know how big this problem is so they take action.

User

Looked online for product , said it was in stock , went down to purchase , not in stock !! How does that work , no point in having such a poor online stick system , the went to newport as it said it was in stock there , yep you guessed it , not in stock.

To be honest though the staff thought exactly the same, waste of space .

User

Know how couldn't repair my tv I paid 999 for so sent me voucher for 649 chose tv had it delivered didn't work phoned to tell the store was told don't come down tonight we won't have time to sort it out that was 6.45 ?next day sorted it had new tv delivered guess what it's broke 3 days I've had it the manager is arrogant the boys don't want to help going in this morning g I want different tv 700 one I saw I will get it delivered

User

I walked into store today with the intention of looking for a proper desktop PC for my partner. I was utterly gobsmacked with how little choice PC World has for the PC user. Sure you have laptops and fancy tablets yes, but for the home PC user your selection of THREE computers that aren't even half decent is terrible.

I remember when you stocked a good range of most computers, budget, mid range and high end. Not catering to the mass market alone but also the advanced user/gamer. Now it's hardly anything and it's a massive shame to see how out of touch you've gotten.

You don't even have components to build them yourself, I mean come on your chain own PC Specialist for god sake you can do better!

ARGOS had a better selection, heck they even had Alienware pcs (ok on their website but still, the option was there!).

I will never be using your chain again, and certainly will never recommend your chain to anyone with half a brain.

Have a nice quiet Bank Holiday!

User

I have no words to describe this awful experience. It was that bad

User

I have been using Curry’s in Cwmbran since opening, I have always had good service until now. A month ago I went in to purchase a small TV,the store was quiet, staff were just sat around talking. After finally getting attention two young lads came over and they didn’t have a clue just reading from the cards on the TVs, which I could do, they were just pointing at random TVs saying ‘that one looks ok’ but when I asked about features they couldn’t answer?? After a while they just started talking to each other about other stuff. I just walked away and they kept talking to each other...

Today I went in for a fridge freezer & tumble dryer, service was a lot better if a bit rushed by the staff member, get to checkout and they couldn’t deliver for a few days!!? On the Monday, No delivery the following day. I work Monday to Friday so I couldn’t do so the next date was the following Saturday, that was no good to me. So went home and got them from AO....trust me folks use them, cheaper, overnight delivery, all round better service...

So curry’s Cwmbran I doubt if you will care but you have lost a long standing customer, rude staff and poor service, you really need to play catch-up with the others such as AO and Argos.

User

I called in to buy a laptop. a friend of mine works there, he was giving me advice what to go for when his manager came over and told him to go and serve someone else. I found this very rude and unprofessional. I walked out at this point and bought one from Argos. I'll never shop there again even if I have to pay more elsewhere!

User

Fuming is an understatement!! What a shocking service I received today over the phone, following an enquiry about a purchase made from this store, asked to speak to a manager after total fob off, then put through to a total idiot posing as a Manager, when questioned refusing to give his full details and also stating that he COULD NOT email me my receipt or proof of warranty but wait for it he would post it second class. I finally spoke to a deputy manager who funny enough said he could & would email me what I needed!! All this took nearly an hour to sort after numerous rants & arguments - extremely poor customer service and why should customers have to battle for what they are entitled too - Now continue the dispute with Samsung directly- they are all quick enough taking our money & absolute shit aftercare- not happycomplaint email on route!

User

Discussing attitude off a member of your staff today. When I asked for an I watch. She told me she could order one and it would take a few days. I asked if she could check to see if Newport has any and she told me no. She said no I’m not ringing them on a Black Friday. Well don’t then my lovely you just lost a customer

User

Absolutely appaled at the way I was treated and spoken too and lied too, damaged my item in transit and then want to charge me £110 plus £90 fitting to get it fixed, after they told me they would fix it for free of charge at first, I'm ashamed to say I used to work for this company, I'm so saddened to see the way they treat customers in way I never would, I'm really upset that a company I used to love working for has treated me like this to the extend that I could never shop there ever again after such stress has been caused, after I was going to purchase more kitchen appliances, it's such a shame to that I can't stet foot in the doors of a company I used to cherish working for and gave a lot of time and effort for

I have no words to describe this awful experience. It was that bad

Discussing attitude off a member of your staff today. When I asked for an I watch. She told me she could order one and it would take a few days. I asked if she could check to see if Newport has any and she told me no. She said no I’m not ringing them on a Black Friday. Well don’t then my lovely you just lost a customer
