Three luxury shepherds huts set on a working sheep and beef farm nestled in the rolling green hills of the Dovey Valley, just outside the picturesque market town of Machynlleth and moments away from Snowdonia National Park.

Enjoy a wealth of wildlife from your own environmentally friendly luxury off-grid shepherd’s hut, set in a secluded valley next to a burbling stream. The perfect ‘get away from it all’ romantic eco-retreat! Comfortable and stylish, yet quiet and peaceful.

Our hut is completely self-contained, so unlike most huts, you won’t need to venture out in the rain to use the loo at night… everything you'll need is all under one roof, with a state of the art eco-loo and a hot shower. Environmentally friendly and ‘off grid’ it is powered by solar panels. There is enough energy made to power the lights, and charge your mobile phone and laptop. There is also a cosy wood-burning stove for those chilly nights, and to cook your meals and boil a kettle.

There are plenty of activities and attractions to stimulate the adventurous and relax the work-worn. Set amongst acres of farm land and on the Glyndwr’s Way National Trail, ‘Cut Sinc’ is an ideal base for couples to explore one of the most picturesque parts of Mid-Wales, a haven for walkers, bird-watchers and cyclists.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD -
The charming market town of Machynlleth is only a 5 minute drive away, where you will find a train station and a bus service. There are lovely shops, pubs, restaurants and an award winning fish and chip shop for you to enjoy.
The Dyfi Osprey Project, a breeding site for ospreys, and the Centre for Alternative Technology are definitely worth a visit.
Aberdyfi is only a 25 minute drive away, where you’ll find a beautiful sandy beach.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE -

In the winter months the water supply to the huts may freeze.

Occasionally things don't work. Off grid living can be sensitive, but 99% of the time we are able to fix it!

The Hut is OFF GRID = No mains electricity - No, your hairdryer won't work! The lights in the hut are powered by battery which is charged by a solar panel. The power therefore is not limitless. If you have the lights on constantly for 6 hours the battery will go flat. Flat battery = no hot shower and no light!

There is NO WIFI.

The following are provided -
- Tea, coffee and sugar
- Bottled water for drinking
- Bedding and towels (1x Bath Towel & 1x Hand Towel per guest)
- Logs and kindling for the wood-burner
- Toilet paper and kitchen paper
- Cooking oil, salt and pepper
- Cutlery and crockery
- Cooking utensils, wood-burner with a 2-ring hob and an oven
- Cool box with ice blocks
