Our pupils were amazing in our remembrance service today which was conducted by our head girl and boy and their deputies. Thanks to our special visitors for attending and Miss Parsons who played the last post beautifully. We will remember them.

What a beautiful remembrance service this morning and what amazing community spirit and respect shown. There were 107 wreaths laid. The young people - beavers, cubs, scouts and pupils of Cwm Primary were impeccably behaved. Thanks to all in the community who make this event so special.

Well done to Cwm Primary pupils for achieving the Bronze Award at the ‘Be Proud of Your Community’ event this afternoon. The judges were impressed with our eco-friendly school and the effort that pupils put into protecting the environment 👏🏼👏🏼

Nadette will be in school tomorrow, give the office a call if you would like to come and have a chat with her.

There will be a MUFTI (non-uniform) day on Friday. We will be collecting money donations to purchase prizes/goods for the school fete. On Friday 15th we will be taking part in Children in Need fundraising. Pupils are asked to wear pjs to school and make a money contribution. On Friday 22nd Nov we will hold another MUFTI and pupils are asked to bring in wrapped chocolates or sweets for the fete.

Due to a shortage in vaccine the flu immunisation that was scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled. The new date is 7th January.

Please note this is the last week for after-school clubs. They will begin again in the Spring term.

CROSS COUNTRY FINALS DATE
We have been informed that the date for the cross country finals has been changed to Wednesday 23rd October - AM instead of Thursday, further information will follow via Parentmail shortly.

Huge Congratulations to our cross country team for their fantastic efforts, not giving up and making it to the finals . . and by the way, they came FIRST! 🏆🥇

Thank you everyone for supporting our Macmillan Coffee Morning. We raised £203.11. A special thanks to Friends of the School for organising the morning and to Reception class - who stole the show with their singing.

Dosbarth Usk should arrive back in school from their trip to Cardiff Castle in about 20 minutes. If they have signed up to club on a Thursday they are welcome to stay until the end of club which is 3.45pm.
