Hypnosis is a bit like electricity, we’re not sure what it is, but we use it to great effect anyway. Hypnosis works the same way as a phobia is formed or any habitual way of thinking or belief that is put in your mind, the most famous example of that is the 1990′s french psychologist Emile Coue’ s suggestion ‘Every day, in every way I am getting better and better. Hypnosis is best summarised as one of co- operation and trust between the hypnotist and the client in which each has a special role to perform to achieve together a most remarkable mental condition of the state of mind termed hypnosis(trance). During hypnotherapy I use hypnosis to implant agreed upon relevant positive & beneficial suggestions to the clien’ts subconscious, upon returning to full awareness clients feel more relaxed and able to view their issues from a different perspective, for many their problems are resolved with just this one session , for others an additional session or two may be necessary, depending on the determination of the client to help themselves, such as with smoking cessation, I cannot make you do anything against your own inclination , you must want to give up smoking yourself.
